In this case (the case of inventions and what hasnt been done or has been done), there's only 3 types of people.
1: The type of people who believe that "nothing you do hasn't been done before" and that you can only make inventions better.
2: The people who are smart, persistent, and stubborn enough to know that's not completely true, and who go and do their best to invent the "un-invented."
3: The people who don't care.
What kind of person are you?
*Edit was caused by my forgetting to add "3: The people who don't care."

Im the kind that just doesnt care. If we already done something, than great for us. but if we need something, than were going to make it. thats just the way us humans work: we do whats best for us. so even if something already was invented, we might need it to be reinvented to make it better. For example: when the first microscope was invented, it was an original, no one else had made it. but now that times have changed, bigger, better microscopes are being made for our ever-changing needs. with that said, you just need to choose who you are: the kind that believes that everything been done, the kind that believes we're still adapting and making new things as we go along, or the kind that just dont care.

Oh, hey I just got an idea.
Did you ever notice how some people (or a lot of people, I don't really pay any attention to numbers) intently believe we're going to be visited by aliens sometime in the future? So I did some thinking... And realized that they all also think they'll come in flying saucers and high-tech space-ships and stuff. Now, being that humans are extra-logical (although it may not seem like it) beings, then anything they create in their imaginations (like a high-tech alien space-ship) that they believe might visit Earth one day, we are capable of making.
So, my point is...
Why wait for the aliens when we can be the aliens?

Another thing, sorry for the double post (the "this message was edited" thing annoys me, plus this is my first double post all year!), is that we think about what'll be in the future, unaware that those flying cars, antigravitational shoes, holographic books (so that when you open it, it's like you're actually there), and all that other "futuristic" stuff are things that could be invented right now. Like, how about inventing sunglasses that act like a TV phone by showing you a 3D and very realistic picture in front of you and they have sound (they already have those... almost). Or maybe.... Just maybe...... The future will go backwards. It'll be "futuristic" now and by the year 2021 or maybe even before that, the world will have become extremely smart and disposed of all electricity (not including TV's and lightbulbs, but including computers, video-games, and other life-sucking devices) on the planet. Earth sure would be nice. Again.

I like your idea in the first post trick, considering how everything else now-a-days is made: someone has an idea, they get a team that thinks it can happen, and they do it until they get it. OR it can be an accident, like a lot of our modern conveniences like peanut butter. all we need to do is find an unlimited fuel source that can last forever or at least a very long time. than we'd be able to do all these things we want. this could all fit in what you said in your latest post. this is a great topic trick, im glad you started it.

Actually, settra, antigravitational things will most likely run on some sort of weird magnetic and electrical and something else entirely kind of thing, and considering flying saucers appear to be antigravitational, you wouldn't need much fuel at all (although it'd be useful you know).
Another idea is to make a ship with a LOT of fuel, and a special "air-purifier" that can continue to purify, recycle, and keep clean the air even after the spaceship's energy has run out. It would bounce rechargers to keep going (one recharger recharges the other recharger, then it uses only one, and then it recharges again, and uses only one, and recharges, and uses, and recharges, and so on until somebody goes into the forbidden little tiny room and flips the switch and everybody on the ship dies.). Thus you can just float out in outerspace and see what happens (hopefully asteroid/meter contact won't happen), sort of like when you go out into a lake with a motor boat, turn the motor off, and just see where the currents take you (hoping you won't face a waterfall, or dangerous water-animals, or rocks, or some weird indian guy that likes to swim.).

You say you are the kind that doesn't care. And by this post I can tell that you're just the sort of person that might not just lay back, but still thinks "Life goes on, don't fret about it. Gosh."

im not exactly sure i see the difference trick. oh well. i understand antigravitation doesnt require much fuel, but to continue to live and do better thing, we're going to have to be able to expand. Thus, our alien thing comes in mind. If we want to get into space, at the moment we use rocket fuel, and a LOT of it. but say in the near future we start using say, uranium, we can get a large stock of it and thus be able to power all of our "UFO's" so to speak.

Nuh-uh! UFO means Unidentified Flying Object. These would be identified, we know what they are. So to us they would be "IFOs"

Im not sure. But im interested to see if you have anything else to say about the topic at hand. it seems you have a vast knowledge of this, and im just waitin to learn more.

Learn more about what? I'm certainly not going to tell you anything about antigravity
I think the best way to figure out antigravity is to figure out a black hole. The black hole has so much gravitational pull that it even sucks light into itself. If anybody could figure out where that gravity comes from, they could probably figure out how to reverse it. Is there such thing as a "White" hole? (the complete opposite of a "Black" hole)

"What is a black hole?
A black hole is a region of spacetime from which nothing can escape, even light.
To see why this happens, imagine throwing a tennis ball into the air. The harder you throw the tennis ball, the faster it is travelling when it leaves your hand and the higher the ball will go before turning back. If you throw it hard enough it will never return, the gravitational attraction will not be able to pull it back down. The velocity the ball must have to escape is known as the escape velocity and for the earth is about 7 miles a second.
As a body is crushed into a smaller and smaller volume, the gravitational attraction increases, and hence the escape velocity gets bigger. Things have to be thrown harder and harder to escape. Eventually a point is reached when even light, which travels at 186 thousand miles a second, is not travelling fast enough to escape. At this point, nothing can get out as nothing can travel faster than light. This is a black hole.
Do they really exist?
It is impossible to see a black hole directly because no light can escape from them; they are black. But there are good reasons to think they exist.
When a large star has burnt all its fuel it explodes into a supernova. The stuff that is left collapses down to an extremely dense object known as a neutron star. We know that these objects exist because several have been found using radio telescopes.
If the neutron star is too large, the gravitational forces overwhelm the pressure gradients and collapse cannot be halted. The neutron star continues to shrink until it finally becomes a black hole. This mass limit is only a couple of solar masses, that is about twice the mass of our sun, and so we should expect at least a few neutron stars to have this mass. (Our sun is not particularly large; in fact it is quite small.)
A supernova occurs in our galaxy once every 300 years, and in neighbouring galaxies about 500 neutron stars have been identified. Therefore we are quite confident that there should also be some black holes."
this might shed some light on our black hole. not quite sure its all true, but if it is, than i think i know where our "white hole" would come in. If a black hole is something where the escape velocity is so high that even light cant escape, a white hole would need to have a negative escape velocity (is that even possible?) where the gravity would actually repel objects from it.

Where'd you learn that?
For some odd reason this is beginning to remind me of the bermuda triangle.
It's easy to explain why ships would get sucked into it, but why would airplanes get sucked into it?

the Bermuda triangle is a place on the Earth's surface thats magnetic field disorted. Thus, anything magentic gets sucked in (including planes).
