I am working on a new area for the Trivia section and I am ready for beta testers.  The new area is going to be called "FactBox" and it will be a place to collect random facts about any topic. A fact is something like "Earth is the 3rd planet from the Sun" .
Once Braingle has enough facts about enough different topics, it will be possible for Braingle to automatically create a large number of random quizzes based on these facts. For example, the above fact could be automatically turned into a question by replacing one of the key words with a fill in the blank: "Earth is the ___ planet from the Sun." or "__ is the 3rd planet from the Sun". It could also be made into a multiple choice using the same method, or it could be made into a TF question by replacing a word: "Mars is the 3rd planet from the Sun. True or false?"
Its an experiment, but I think this will be an interesting way to produce a near infinite number of different random quizzes on different topics. Anyone can add a fact and anyone can review facts that have been submitted by other people. If you want to help, please check out this secret link.

However if some facts are submitted does that mean that we can't use that in our own quizzes?
I submitted this face:
The song "Tears are Not Enough" was recorded to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia.
and this question came up:
The song "Tears are Not Enough" was recorded to raise money for famine relief in _________.
A) Darfur
B) Durban
C) Pretoria
D) Ethiopia
Could I not do something like this in one of my quizzes? When this is done, is it just going to display random questions for people to answer one at a time or group similar questions together?

Awesome idea.
Just one minor issue: I noticed that we're able to vote on our own fact submissions in the HIT area. That would make some decisions a bit biased...
(PS: James, I reviewed that fact about 2 minutes ago!)

Nice idea. Just one thing:
On the "Your Facts Page", it said in the last 6 months, 5% of my facts had been rejected. I haven't submit any facts yet, so where is this percentage coming from?

I have the same message on mine even though I have 1 accepted and 0 rejected.

Yeah that's a bug that Jake will probably fix when he finds out about it.

I just submitted like 8 facts or so, made a stupid mistake in three of them though.

Another minor bug:
The system won't allow "0" as a swap phrase.

Nor will it allow parentheses anywhere in the swap phrase. In the fill-in-the-blank, nothing is removed, and all the true/false answers state the correct answer.
One other thing, when reviewing facts, would it be possible to have a button to click if the fact contains a grammatical or spelling error?

Whenever I enter a fact, I just see the preview button. Where is the SUBMIT button?

Just 2 bugs/requests:
- When we're going to page 2, 3, 4... of our "Accepted Facts" the section displaying our rejected and pending facts are empty.
- When I resubmit a fact that was because of punctuation, the rejected one is listed as a duplicate. Shouldn't only accepted ones be listed?

when i was reviewing facts one of the facts was
C.S. Lewis wrote the Chronicles of Narnia.
one of the automatically generated questions was
_____ wrote the Chronicles of Narnia.
A)C.S. Lewis
B)Clive Lewis
C)Clive Staples Lewis
D)Clive S. Lewis
all of those possible answers are correct so i didnt know what to do

I think that question should be rejected and modified because all four answers are plausible.
