I've created this topic for the sole purpose of posting when you are submitting an application for a QM, and asking if any others will join you.
Anyway I just had 3 more quizzes accepted! It brought my grade up to a B! I finally got to apply for Nature QM. If anyone else would like to run with me, please submit your application! Thank you!

I don't mind this topic Solar, but I don't want it to turn into a discussion of why people cannot run at present. So please post only if you managed to enroll into an election. Anything other than that will be considered off topic and will be deleted without warning. I've just locked off a similar topic yesterday which started with election info and went off into a tangent. If that happens here, I'll lock this too. - Brainster.

Does that mean you can only post here if you are in a current election? you cant post to say you've submitted an application and are wanting to see if anyone else wants to go for the same topic to get an election?

You can post if you've submitted an application too Sarah. Sorry, I should have been clearer. I just want to avoid the posts that go "I could, but I have so-and-so issues." They not only turn the whole topic into a discussion of who's not qualified rather than who's qualified, but they are also completely off topic and quite useless to what the aim of the topic is.
So to reiterate, post in this topic if -
1. You have submitted an application to become QM of a category and need others who qualify to run against you and thereby start an election.
2. You read another's post and find yourself both interested and qualified to submit an application. So you reply to the other person saying you qualify and that you've submitted an application too.
Once an election does start, I have made the "Election Alerts" topic to let everyone know when an election begins. So this one can be just for triggering elections. Hope that made sense.

I didn't know where else to put this. Please vote in the "Other" category quizmaster election. My vote for QM was Beatlesgirl because of her high activity on the site and excellent grammar on her essay. Trot just barely lost my vote when I noticed a few nit-picky things in his essay (sorry!) and I rejected Tedger because of the essay and Corrector grade.
If I ever decide to run, I hope for slightly more forgiving treatment than I have dished out just now.

Yeah, I thought it was not meaningful enough to just say "Elections", this sounds more meaningful to the context of the topic.

Also while I'm posting, i'm still after someone to run for Geography QM
I'll apply to Geography after the Humanities election ends unless somebody else does first.
