@max: I wouldn't really consider Styrofoam "inflated"... but I don't know. I mean it does have air bubbles but I would call that like aerated or something, not inflated.

Apples are round because its skin is actually a protection from the outside as fruits were originally meant to store carbohydrates, minerals, sugar and seeds to spread seeds around to grow more apple trees. The apple's protection or peel was the most efficient way to protect it, using the least surface area, material and energy. Domestic apples are rounder than undomesticated ones, because of how people engineered it to their purpose, which is to sell as rounder apples are better to look at.

I totally thought the link would be of something like Jeff the Killer.
