That's good Paladin, though I don't mind getting PMs from people who aren't my friends. In fact, I kinda like it when I've proofread someone's quiz and they send me a PM saying "thank you".

So do I, but if you were overly concerned about spam, this would be a good fix. And since it's a flag, you could turn it on and off at your leisure. It could also be like other online IM software out there and give you a notice that you have a message from someone not on your list, with the option to accept it.
