The state of this site, currently. It still has life, but there's so much less activity. [No offense to all of those kind enough to stick with it, of course.]

Being without A/C for a week while the part was ordered - temps were in high 90s to triple digits when it decided to go out! Talk about HOT!

SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

It's HUMID out, and I hate humidity! Plus, this is like the 3rd or 4th morning I've gotten up with a headache. Terrible way to start the day. Especially when it starts so early.

Let's see... we are frowning about being too hot, too cold and now too humid... three straight posts. I would put this in "What made you smile today", but they probably would not believe it in a 24 hour period! Frankly, today in the Los Angeles area, I enjoy the cool breeze off the ocean that allowed me to enjoy the sunshine and the comfort of a nice day... sorry you all live in the wrong areas of the country... NOW that should make you frown!

We do not live in wrong areas of the country. I'm quite happy with where I live, and no place is perfect, even where you live Randy. . . . besides, Snappy doesn't even live in the U.S. . . . .

What makes me frown? Not being able to post here, without someone questioning what I share.

You just rubbed me the wrong way, you big oaf! I'm not mad, just irritated for a few seconds. Join my WW game, I dare you . . . if you don't that would make me frown.

Oh RGW4...if you leave, that'll make me frown!!!!

We just like to frown!

Today at the bank when I told the teller to put some money into my savings account, and recited out the Account number...
she says "Oh, yes.... You are from the era where you can remember all the phone numbers and that!!!!"

GRRRR!

Snappy, that is when you tell the young one, "Honey, I have forgotten more than you will ever know!" We old people have to make them know we still count. No pun intended!

Do you know why they can't keep a secret at the bank? Too many tellers.
OK sorry, keeping on topic... What made me frown today? Eating the last banana.

I also would frown (hugely) if you leave Randy! I'm going to put out that dare to you as well to join Snowy's WW game! Come on, we need you!

Snappy, she only said that because she cannot remember numbers and I agree with you Grayma!

Good one, Jay!

Me too, Randy. I double dog dare you. We really do need you, not only for the game, but also for Braingle - it wouldn't be the same with you gone.

Numbers, I hate numbers. I worked with numbers all my life and was one of the fastest persons to pass the 10 key test with 100% accuracy at the employment office. Was so proud of that. Was a walking telephone book, if I knew you by name, I knew your phone number. And then the computers came out and I immediately said I hated a machine that was smarter than I was, but that it made the same stupid mistakes that I did. Right? Anyone else find that out? Ok, great, and then they came out with these smart phones with this million number memory. Hey, I didn't have to tax my brain anymore, it was all in that little phone. Then one day I forgot to charge the battery and my brain was suddenly needed again. Guess what, no longer did I have that instant recall. I had forgotten all those numbers. Was it just because I hadn't had to use that part of my brain, or was it because I was getting old?

Oh dear Lord, that turned over another page for me to worry about. That little gadget also took pictures, and I have a LOT of pictures stored in there. What happens if, when it is charged up again so it's usable, the pictures come up and I can't remember who those people are? Then what? This perspective makes me frown, and wonder, and frown and . . .

What made me frown today.
Went to a pharmacy to buy an over the counter drug called mersyndol for my daughters migraine.
The girl behind the counter asks - 20 or 40?
I say 20 thanks.
Pharmacist comes out and says - Can I see your drivers licence?
I reach for it but say - Can you show me where it says I have to show you my license?
He goes off. Comes back. He says - I have the info but not in print. I need to see your license.
I say - No. According to the Freedom of Information Act I don't have to and there is no law except in Queensalnd where you have the right to ask me for this information.
He says - I refuse to sell it to you. That is my freedom of choice.

I said GOODBYE.

I went to a pharmacy in the same centre. Asked for the same product. 20 or 40? 20 thanks. $7.99 and off I went.

What did he think I was going to do with this????
I'll go back for another argument when I feel like having an argument.
Moron.

I have had a week of the busiest weeks this year... and I am sorry if there was some confusion over my comment... but, after reading them, I decided to join a Snowy game.

Today I frown... the game started without me.

Not really a problem (really)... I would have joined it... but I still have about two weeks of what will probably be another two weeks of inactivity on this site. Trust me, not personal to anyone here, just busy in real life. It pays the bills, Braingle only pays the mental state. Sometimes I wonder if the second is more important than the first, but the mental state has never paid the bills!

Snowy... I would never want to rub you the wrong way... even if only in jest.

The dare and double dare is incidental now... I can not join... enjoy your game and get rid of Days (I suspect she is a wolf...)
Had I been able to come on and say anything... I would have said that even though she deleted her account, it seems to me that her position in the game was set and the game would gone on as if she was still active. This only means this deleted account would corrupt the play for ONE round. As a wolf... you have to shoot her; as a human, you have to shoot/eat her... one round lost because of this, but the variable is gone. Snowy, because of the impact of this understandable move by "Days"... you should disclose her position. If Human, the wolves should be supportive of this disclosure and eat this old account out of the game... if a wolf, even the other wolves can join in on the removal of an inactive player... so no one would be wise to all remaining players in the game.

So some of you have dared me and double dared me... now, regardless of Days position... get rid of this player! And I am sorry that at this time I forget Days new sign on name... but I do understand why you felt you had to do this.
Glad you kept Days in your new name... it will help this old fa*t to recognize you when I see you!... where is the orange avatar I remember you by?

Hey Snappy, what would he have said if you told him you didn't have a drivers license? Randy, I dare you to play in my next WW game. In fact, I double dog dare you. . . .

Frown of the day . . . . . upset stomach like 3-4 days in a row. . . .

I frown because all of you frown, and I also frown because it seems as though many of the once active players I knew on this site and loved have gone their separate ways. While I respect their decisions, it saddens my heart.

Sorry Snow... no games for a while for me. I running on 3 cylinders right now, when normally I operate on 8. I am beat... long days, dragging my feet as I leave the jobs... and I don't stop dragging until I get ready for bed. On top of this, my right foot is hurt and swollen... due to an injury (part of the reason for dragging my feet I suspect). Just when it starts to feel better, I have to climb a ladder... The work schedule has me frowning right now.

Oh I'll try that one next time, snowy. No license.
I went to the dentist and told her receptionist the same story. She was enraged about the principle of it. So she is making her own enquiries about it through the Australian Medical Association. Nyak Nyak.

Frown of the day - I have to go back to the dentist!

I tell you...I am falling apart....like you RGW4...
