Sunny has turned to disaster!

Story so far....

We have had a really wet winter...the grasses have grown tall and now have dried out.
The Dept of Conservation [what!!!???] did a 'prescribed burn' in the area...because of the weather it got out of control and caused this damage.

Blind Freddy could see that Hot Weather+ Gusty Winds+ Dry grasses+ Fire = DISASTER on a MAJOR SCALE!!!!

Spud, it was just a coating. It's gone now.

Wow snappy, that's messed up. High risk of weather problems? Couldn't they have waited for a calmer time?

We got up to 59F (15C) here on Thanksgiving day!

Wow, Snappy. That's terrible. Wonder if "apologies" will pay for rebuilding or if insurance companies will be held liable?

It's around 0 Celsius and all the snow is melting!

(But it will snow, like, tomorrow, so I guess it doesn't make a difference in the long run...)

The temperature here is almost at record high for this time of year. It's actually really nice out. Not too hot, not too cool if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean. It's 60 degrees F here today, sun is out, no wind. Unbelievably nice day for the end of November in WNY. Wish I could bottle it and open it in February to enjoy again.

Weather is nice again.
But there are 39 homes burned to the ground and a lot to clean up!

Sunny but there are a few clouds out
No wind it is quite calm out
And the temperature is 37

I'm on Braingle far too long, I stay on the computer from dusk to dawn. Playing games and chatting with friends, the novelity of it never ends.

What a difference, eh!

We still have fires fires and more fires....they start out as 'controlled burns' then get out of hand. They report about them in such a casual way, they forget they are dealing with people and their homes.
