Share the Torah This Hanukkah

My Torah app is trying to get people to share the Torah on Hanukkah. This is what the website says.

What Is It?
Last year, we started a new Hanukkah tradition: Global Share the Torah Day. On this one day every year, the entire Jewish community, wherever they are in the world, shares what they love about the Torah. It's a simple way we can bring visibility to the story of God's love for us.Why?
It's easy to get caught up in the busy-ness surrounding the holidays and lose sight of what Hanukkah is all about: God preserving His people in the face of persecution. Global Share the Torah Day helps us remind ourselves and others. It also creates great opportunities to start conversations about our faith. How Does It Work?
It's easy. All day on December 28th, simply take a few opportunities to share anything you love about the Torah. Tweet using the hash tag #Torah
. Update your Facebook status. Change your blog or website home page. Visit with someone you meet. And before the end of Hanukkah, we'd love your help in spreading the word. Let your friends know what we're doing, and ask them to join us. (You can even just direct them to this page.)

Stuff to share:
* Your faith. What has God done in your life?
* Your favorite verse. Why? What does it mean to you?
*The Hanukkah story. What are some of your traditions?

So help share the Torah this Hanukkah.

If you are not Jewish, please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have about the Jewish faith.

Haha, very nice. What happened to the Chocolate Bible, though?

Oh. How nice? I wouldn't care if you were setious, but you're just trying to offend people and start trouble.

How is the Torah offensive? Hanukkah isn't even over yet.

There's nothing more offensive about this than any other topic, i dont see a problem.

You came back :)

It wouldn't be offensive if she wasn't making fun of my topic. You just started it to be insulting.

But the Torah is a wonderful book. Moses was a good man.

Maybe we should all take a deep breath and lighten up here. Personally, I think this topic was intended to be more humourous than offensive.

(By the way, there's an ad on the side of my screen from goisrael.com. Haha.)

Americaneulogy, perhaps you would actually care to share The Hanukkah story and some of your traditions? I am sure there are others, besides myself, who would be interested in learning about your traditions.

I'm sorry I'm in a bad mood.

Seems an odd choice of occasion.

I hope nobody's offended, but I found this funny.

Yes, I didn't find this topic offensive or humorous, but I found it interesting and I thought it was very nice that there was a Torah topic as well as a Bible topic. I know they are both bibles but you know what I mean. Even if this thread were started as a response to the Christian one, I only see it as someone sharing their tradition, not to be offensive or to be funny. I read the whole post with interest because although I was raised Christian, I love reading about other religions!
