I know

That's it.
Hey guys, pi is an irrational number, meaning that it goes on forever and has no true value. Does that mean that it's impossible to accurately divide the circumference by the diameter?
What are you looking at? |

It has a true value; we just can't express it.
3.1415926535897932384626433... I can't remember more than 25 digits.
My physics teacher brought us pie today. Also, at lunch, we had an auction in which the winning bidder won the chance to pie a teacher in the face.

Sounds like you have a fun school there, Shadows. I think some of my maths teachers ocassionaly mentioned it, but it's been like four years since I've had a mathematics class. So, the holiday is never reminded for me.
I went to check if Google was doing anything but then remembered that Yoshizawa Akira-sama was being celebrated instead. I wonder if anyone's made origami pi digits. Probably wouldn't be too diverse a piece, though.

Interesting Pi-related video created for Pi day!
Also by the same person, Pi is wrong.
And I only have it memorised to the first 10 decimal places. That's all I ever bothered trying to memorise. xD More than that just seems frivolous. Unless you're doing it for the challenge/enjoyment of it. But I memorise the Periodic Table to fulfil that need of mine. To each his own, I suppose.

Too bad no major celebrations were held back in 1592.

In numbers it's infinite or irrational but in reality it's real. That's my mysteriously mysterious way of pretending I know something about it.
Life... can be so many things... how can anyone ever think they are RIGHT? HAhahahahahahaha!!!!! |

double double post and trouble...
I think that everyone who answered that they can remember over 8 digits should be tested!
I chose the first answer because I've never tried to memorize Pi's digits... maybe I could memorize 24 hours worth like that guy on TV! (or however many hours he recited Pi... it was really amazingly awesome)
