Take care Tonja... not something to mess with!

So with Thanksgiving over, let me start the Happy Holiday theme... looking forward to a great Christmas and a super great New Year. My son and his wife of 13 months announced they are expecting their first child next summer (our third grandchild).

Congrats RGW4!!!

Thanks for the well wishes! I am feeling much better than I was except for some congestion and a tickle in the throat still, but managing very well.

In other news, I quit my job this week to pursue a dream. Thankfully my hubby pushed and pushed for me to do it and I finally took the plunge! It will no longer say "Microbiologist" on my occupation. LOL

Chuck Norris destroyed the Periodic Table because the only element he recognizes is surprise.

Ditto on what Bobbi and Snappy said... career changes are good. I was forced to make one 7 years ago and though I miss my vacations... it was a good one based on my new found freedoms.

I am hoping to make an entrepreneurial move. I want to start a tea shop. There are so few and I like tea, not coffee. And in my area, there are very few places open in the evenings to sit and just enjoy a cup of tea. So, I want to make one.

I found someone who blends tea so I am hoping to buy from her until I learn to blend my own. And I plan on carrying the basics. I just need to find a space.

It does allow me more time to be with my family and I am away from what was slowly becoming a not-so-pleasant environment.

Thanks Snappy and JQ! @Snappy - I am not a baker, but I have one friend who does amazing cupcakes and and another who does lovely pastries, so I am hoping to work a bit with them to carry yummies to go with the tea.

@JQ - I agree! I am hoping to get out there and have more people discover the wonderfulness that is tea.

Well, it is Christmas time already!!!!

Time to reflect on what we have to be thankful for and make new plans for 2013.

I hope my family's health improves and we remain as happy as we've alwyas been.

Happy New Year, everybody! 2012 wasn't bad at all, but of course I hope all our 2013s will be even better.

good luck, tonja, on your tea house. I've been hearing that tea shops are the new thing and are growing. So, it's probably a great time to start.

It's been VERY cold here in Philly and other close areas. No snow as of yet, and I'm not wishing for any either. I have things I have to do every day, including when the buses stop because of too much snow!
