1. Yes I'm willing to... I'm not really learning Chinese, but I am learning hanja, which is like.. Chinese characters for Korean words... hard to explain..
2.
3.

Anneyeong haseyo.

1. According to the solar calendar at least, it's Tanabata. Taken from the Chinese Qixi festival, it concerns a tale about the separation of stars Vega and Altair. I see Korea has a variation in Chilseok. I know it's a while for the actual lunar date, but do you personally do anything special for it?

2. In the Tanabata spirit, what is one wish you would like granted?

3. What is your favourite type of bear and why?

4. Do you know of any good jokes? If so, please say it. If not, make one up.

5. If you were in charge of writing a new TV show, what would it be about?

1. OK, I'm putting this up as a question this time so you don't miss it: Wocka > Recommended

Annyeonghaseyo *bows respectfully*

1. Chuseok... Koreans usually visit their grandparents for the day. I stay at my father's side for a day and night, then my mother's side for the next day. There's also a tradition where parents take turns sitting in the middle of the room, then the children bow to them and they receive money

2. Um... to have bookshelves and books everywhere in the house.

3. I don't really have a preference..

4. Uhhhh....... there's a lame one my friend told me. It's usually used for poking fun at people (if you change the characters accordingly). Let me try to remember it.

You live in a world where you are not allowed to step onto the grass, or else you will be chained to somebody ugly for the rest of your life. You, when a ball rolls out into the grass, steps out and are chained to someone hideous.
The next day, you meet your friend, chained to a beautiful man/woman.
"If you stepped in the grass, how did you get chained to him/her?" you ask.
The man/woman replies, "I stepped onto the grass."

Lame, but I can't think of anything.

5. It would probably be about decisions.. how small ones change everything.. although I don't know how that would be set up.

1. Why did you change the emoticon from to ? Do you think I am undergoing transformation from just plain bad to real mwahahaha-type evil?

2. I looked up hanja on the Internet but I don't think I completely understand what it's about so... if I wrote something in Classical Chinese with traditional characters, would you understand it (just like a Cantonese with no knowledge of Putonghua can still communicate with a Shanghainese who also doesn't speak Putonghua if they write it down)?

Here's a test: The following is a famous line from a Confucian classic. Which one? If you can answer it, then maybe I understand what I read off the Internet about hanja.

學而時習之,不亦樂乎?

1. Ooooooops I quoted LogicalRoger first, and you can't really press the quote button twice for one post (I think).. so.. yeah..

2. No, though we did take Chinese characters, they have different pronunciations. I guess the meanings are pretty much the same.. I mean, hanja is there to help us understand the meanings of words. but basically I would be reading Chinese in Korean (confusing, I know.)
Yeah, I have no idea how to explain this..

And I'm not that far in hanja yet Plus I don't think I would be able to tell

- Mystery. Today's drama-y mystery novels don't really interest me.
- Fantasy... My imagination is very weird.
- I don't like watching movies. I don't know why.

Let's see...

What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything? In your opinion.

Who is your favorite robot?

If you had to guess what my favorite color is, what would you say?

TWG or WTB?

If you saw 20$ (or any equivalent) on the sidewalk what would you do?

With kids you spend the first 2 years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next 15 years telling them to sit down and be quiet.
