Interviews for moms

Hi all, I have a small report to do in a childhood development class I'm taking, and I would appreciate if some moms on here would take the time to answer as many of these questions as they can so I have a good subject group.
• What decade was it when you had your child?
• Where did you give birth? Why did you decide to have your baby here?
• How did you know you were in labor?
• Where did you learn about childbirth before your first baby was born?
• Who attended your birth?
• Did you have medication? What kind? Was it helpful?
• When did you get to see and hold the baby?
• Did you breastfeed? How did you make that decision?
• How long were you in the hospital (if a hospital was the setting)?
• What was it like after you took the baby home?

To clarify, I am intending this to be anonymous, so no names of yourselves, children, or family members is necessary. Also you don't need to be specific which hospital you were in to have birth if you were, simply saying in a hospital or at home, etc is fine. And if you have had more than one child and want to answer for all your children that is also fine. If I could get a few responses to this as soon as possible it would be great! Thanks
PS I did also post this in the grown-ups section and I intend to take one of the copies down by tomorrow so I don't have two of the same threads up, I'm just trying to get some responses as quick as possible.

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

1996 when I had my child.

Hospital - by choice

Didn't, induced labor cause I would have died if they hadn't.

Sis had 8 kids total, leaned a lot be listening to her, and read some books, asked questions with doctor.

My hubby dearest was with me the whole time

I had meds in middle of night, then refused them the next day...Natural Birth.

The next day...when I came out of surgery

Yes, I knew that it would be better for the child. (But had to stop, I wasn't producing enough milk )

3 days, LOL--I told the doctor I was going home, I refused to stay longer.

For me, I was scared completely. I could barely hold my baby in my arms It was a life changer, knowing that this new little life is going to change your life and life-style scared me a lot. I had a lot of help from the in-laws with taking care of the little one, and was happy to have such support.

Made your bed, now lay in it....But you can always add a bedside table, change the sheets, take out the doesn't have to stay the same unless you want it to.
