Hey there, fellow Brainglers! Are there any song lyrics that you've misheard that you'd like to share? Here are my first misheard lyrics:

Misheard Lyrics:

Real Lyrics:

Not sure if this topic has been done before here. Hopefully not yet, as I like these sorts and would like to hear some funny ones. Snopes has a topic on these, mondegreens.
Now, just so we get some more variety in music ....
I wish I could, but I can't think of anything at the moment. I'll try.

That's not the kind of stuff I'm looking for. I want lyrics that were misheard, not actual lyrics that don't make any sense. I might make a separate forum for that.

NERD ALERT:
Actually, the term for misheard lyrics is a Mondegreen. This stems from an essay written by Sylvia Wright in which she incorrectly recites the final line of a poem as:
"And Lady Mondgreen."
when the actual line was:
"And they laid him on the green."
TV Tropes has tons of examples.
Anyways, from ELO's Mr. Blue Sky:
Misheard Lyric: "Sun is pieing in the sky."
Actual Lyrics: "Sun is shining in the sky." (Yes, my mind turned pie into a gerund.)

There's always the famous Purple Haze misheard lyric, "Excuse me while I kiss this guy" which is actually kiss the sky.
There used to be a topic about this, but I don't know what happened to it. Maybe it was in General Discussion?

Another Taylor Swift example, this time from "Mine". For the longest time, I misheard "And you figure out why I'm guarded" as "and you figure out why I'm dotted". Eh?

When I was really little, I heard the alphabet song, and thought it ended with "W,X,Y,N,Z", instead of "W,X,Y and Z".

I can't think of much off-hand, except for a song in Persona 4 where it sounds, to me, like "your fashion, your fashion, taken from puppies" [Mr. Burns?] which is supposed to be "your affection, your affection, taking pride from fear."
