Dark Tales of Japan - Some of them were short and a bit unexplained, but it was fun enough nonetheless. 7.5/10.

A Streetcar Named Desire - It was pretty good, a classic, though not exactly what I expected it fit what I expected enough. I liked the madness of Blanche, although some of the portrayals (like the echoes) seem a bit cheesy now. I liked Stanley for the most part, but Brando was a little hard to understand/his delivery seemed a bit off at times. Not sure I should blame him, though. 8.5/10

Beastly
It was about what I expected it to be. Mediocre in every capacity.

Battle L.A.
Awful. No plot or character development. Just a lot of explosions and shooting. Felt much like a really long commercial for the Marines.

Rango - This was pretty good. At first I thought it wasn't going to be that new or interesting, and though it wasn't particularly hilarious, it did it have its moments of comedy and wit and besides that was a good film in itself. A good ole western, totting guns and meta-jokes about the genre. rather fun and somewhat unique in terms of CG anthropomorphic films.

Battle: Los Angeles - Yeah, it wasn't that good. But I wouldn't say it was the worst thing in the world. Just a typical action film. Pretty cliche and long (it felt long at least). I didn't like how the marines were the main (and pretty much only) characters but I'm not partial to warfare. I prefer films where the main characters are scavengers or common survivors and where the aliens have more flaws. Also, besides some of the locations, you couldn't really tell it was L.A. By that I mean you could pretty much set it somewhere else and there would be no change. Though I suppose that's not a big thing, I just wanted to be able to say "woot" for m' locale and didn't get to.

14. Rango: Not bad, nothing too special, but worth it.

15: High Noon: Gary Cooper is awesome in it

16: White Heat: 40s gangster movie, totally recommend it

17: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Better than I expected

9 to go!

Parents are supposed to "protect" their kids, but there's a real distinction between protection and unrealistically keeping children away from reality. - Life_Sucks --- One of my teasers was featured as the Teaser of the Day! :D Sept. 18 2011 :D YAY!
