Hey there i was wondering what everyone thoughts are on the saddest songs ever made?
In my opinion, even though there has been many songs i have cried to, i think the saddest has got to be Gloomy Sunday. My favourite versions are by Billie Holiday and Emilie Autumn. The song itself has a dark history and has been linked to many suicides (its worth reading up about so search it on google). It has been named the saddest song ever written.
I think it has a very haunting quality to it and reminds me of some of my darkest moments. None the less it is a beautiful song. So what songs do you think are the saddest?
"Sunday is gloomy
My hours are slumberless
Dearest the shadows
I live with are numberless
Little white flowers
Will never awaken you
Not where the black coach of
Sorrow has taken you
Angels have no thoughts
Of ever returning you
Would they be angry
If i thought of joining you?
Gloomy Sunday"

Pretty much any song by Pink Floyd.
Sarcastic is the one word that defines me. |

We used to sing that song at volleyball practice in middle school.
I think "I'm Already There" is a very emotional song. The original version was created by Lonestar, but I prefer Westlife's version.

"September" by Daughtry. It's about the end of summer and memories. I almost cry when I listen to it. It's one of my favorites.
"All the things I still remember
Summer's never looked the same
Years go by and time just seems to fly
But the memories remain
In the middle of September
We still played out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been
It was worth it in the end."
I am still wondering why they make flavored shampoo. I've tasted them all and they make my mouth all bubbly. |

I completely agree with the post above, and if there was a 'like' button, I would have clicked it in a heartbeat. That is one of my favorite songs.
