I saw the other one got locked and being an avid anime fan I was a tad disappointed. So ya, suggest your favourites, talk about plot and characters with others and maybe even cosplay.
P.S
I've watched Naruto, Bleach, Durarara, Shugo Chara, Inuyasha, Kaleido Star, No. 6, Mermaid Melody, Pretty Cure, Ranma 1/2, and way more I'm forgetting. Got any suggestions? I'm bored and trying to get into the anime mood for a giant convention this weekend (Cosplaying Insanity SF-A2 Miki, Vocaloid)

Death Note and Elfen Lied.
careful with the latter, its pretty strong, sad, violent, and slightly erotic
You came back :) |

If I can make it through Higurashi no naku koro ni I can make it through Elfen Lied. I'd recommend that one if you like mind games and gore. It's confusing but fun to follow. Ah, I've watched death note already XD

Ah, so my old topic was locked, eh? It was old, I suppose. Well, hello. Good to see some more people who enjoy anime on here.
Do you watch any of the current or recent series? [I ask this because I see you listed No. 6.] I generally watch a good number of them and am much more familiar with them. For instance, for this season I like Shirokuma Cafe, Yuru Yuri 2, Kokoro Connect, Bimbogami, and Tari Tari.
Have you seen Madoka Magicka yet? Not one of my favourites (the fans killed it for me) but it is cutesy and yet also has a darker layer. You might enjoy it. Just like in the last thread I'd also recommend Steins; Gate just because it's pretty great. Most of the ones I've mentioned above are comedy anime. But you might like an action-packed one like Accel World. Also, you might like Guilty Crown, which is pretty comparable to Code Geass. (Though I must admit to not have seeing either.)
Higurashi was great. Especially Kai where things were explained. If you haven't seen it yet, Umineko's by the same creators and is also quite dark. Just be sure you're not expecting to understand everything unless you fancy playing the VNs as well. I haven't seen them but my brother has compared the gambling show Kaiji to Death Note in terms of his having to trip up his opponents.
Oh, and if you like Ranma 1/2 for the comedy you might want to check out Takahashi Rumiko's other works, especially Urasei Yatsura. Echi comedy fun, that.
I'm not that great with older anime, but I have been watching a bunch per season for a year and a bit. Which gives me too much to mention here, really. :/ I'd be happy to talk about whatever I've seen though. Good luck at the convention. Cosplaying as anything?

Wow that's a lot to add to my list O.o and I haven't heard of most of them. The only ones would be death note, code geass (which i've already seen, both of them) and then madoka. (which i need to see). Thaaank you haha
Ya, this is actually my second convention (over all and in three months) Last time I cosplayed as Sora from Kingdom hearts 2, this time I'm going as a vocaloid. Insanity SF-A2 Miki. Although a little less showy version, the white shorts one. Oh, and I have an insanity Kaito who's meeting me there
Do you cosplay at all?

No problem. I hope you enjoy them. There's loads of others that I have in mind but they tend to be comedy, cute girls doing cute things, or josei drama. There's a variety between, but that's what I mostly watch.
Cool. I'm still wary of going to a convention. It would so easy just to go to Anime Expo but ... I dunno. I don't cosplay. I wouldn't know how to make a costume if I had the material or anyone in mind. I tend to watch shows where the male characters look pretty average. The most I'd be willing to do was put on a lab coat and brush up on physics.

Aah, I've seen some girly and some comedy XD I'm fairly rounded in my anime tastes looking at my list.
Why are you weary? Even if you're not cosplaying they're loads of fun. By far the best experience in my entire life (only 16 but still). As for making costumes, I didn't even know how to sew. I just looked up tons of tutorials online. They have everything from basic sewing to wig styling on youtube and how to sites

A sullen heart ticking under the ground Taking the weight of which has yet to be found If you can hear me now, why don't you recall? I was the one who cared after all |

More anime comes every season. Personally, I think this season's a bit lacking. The last two seasons have felt that way. There are some good new ones and some continuing greats, but even some good ones only seem decent to me and the others I dislike. I've already dropped Btoom and Little Busters.
I should probably look at what I'm watching though.

I've always avoided the newer stuff. The old stuff just seems better to me, always has. When I run out of older anime then I'll see if I can stomache the new stuff.
