The Golden Girls :3
So classic. I love it. It's the only show that makes me truly laugh though.

I've recently finished a bunch of Higurashi, all series, and will eventually watch the live action film. It was a good show.
I'll be sure to watch the American remake of Being Human tomorrow thanks to Youtube's reminder. Lol. America and its fetish for remakes. Can't wait until the real series comes back on.

Try Shiki, another horror series. Personally, I think it's one of the very few horror series that delivers.
Finished up Mononoke and loved every second of it. The art style may be dizzying to some, but I think it looks great in the context of the series. Genuine creepy stories wrapped up in a murder-mystery set-up mixed with delicious eye-candy makes for a new favorite for me.
Moving on to Rideback. I went in knowing very little about this show and was surprised. This is actually very well put together. There definitely was a decent sized budget for the series, and they spend it in all the right place. The opening sequence with the ballet is gorgeous to watch. Also, it blends character development/drama, action, and slight political intrigue quite well. My only complaint is this one annoying girl in pig-tails, but they're toning done her traits as the series progresses.
Ongoing: Level E, Wandering Son, Fractale, and Gosick

The Amazing Race - I am SO glad I started watching this again. I had watched for about 12 seasons (!) and then missed one or two. Now they brought back some teams that didn't win last time, and it's good to see old faces plus a few I didn't get to see. Great show.

Does a hockey game count as a show?
Detroit vs. Phoenix
If it doesn't count, say SportsCenter. xD

A bunch of new 2011 Spring anime. Compared to the blokes at school, I'm a novice at anime, so I felt like watching some, mainly slice-of-lifes. I'll post a review of them in detail later. There are some pretty good ones and some not so interesting ha. But I don't tend to watch anything I don't like the sound of anyways.
Nichi Jou - I've seen most of the episodes (0 through 2) that have aired currently, and am liking it. It's a slice of life alternating between three energetic high school students, a posh farmer student who rides a goat and a girl who shoots him, and a robot girl and the child-professor who made her. It's funny and is the only Kyoto Animation show I've seen that I really like. It reminds me of Azumanga, which is definitely a good thing. I even think the meganeko and robot girl (Nano) look like Osaka. The style is cool. It's very random.
Then the other shows I just watched the first episode of to see a taste of each.
A-Channel - I read it billed as being similar to Lucky Star, but I don't see much of a resemblance besides Run being similar to Tsukasa and Tooru as short as Konata. It seems okay, but not really my thing. And no, not because of the clear lesbian themes. I just didn't find it too amusing. It's a slice-of-life about high school (I think) girls, particularly Tooru who got into the same school as Run so that she could be with her. I'd watch it, but it wouldn't be high on my list.
Astarotte's Toy - I've never really seen a Harem anime, asides from Ranma, so I thought, why the heck not? The plot sounded kind of interesting, a guy in service to a succubi who hates men - sounded very much like a Takahashi couple. But then - I find out she's only 10. That's freaking young. Still, some of the jokes were okay, but yeah, I wish she were older and less like a kid. Morals aside, I thought she'd more kowai which might make it funner. Eh, harem anime, you get what you expect, I guess. I'd watch it, but I'd feel bad for doing so and I'd do it after some other anime.
Deadman Wonderland - I liked the plot summary and then was disappointed by the style and opening. Then when the guy gets to the prison I felt it was going to be a drama set in prison lacking any of the mythological or psychological elements I would like [from the summary I expected a trippy story set in some parallel dimension where inmates are tortured]. But as soon as Shiro showed up, things got a bit more promising for me. [She's actually played by the same seiyuu who plays the main girl from Stein's Gate, another character I like; so I think she's got a fan here ^_^] I'm not so sure about the whole evil monster and villainous prison warden thing going on, but I'd be willing to see more of it. It looks interesting enough to stand out from other dark mythological anime. The story is basically a guy is the lone survivor of a massacre at his school and is accused of the murders and locked away in a strange prison that makes money from stripping human rights of its inmates to play amusement and entertain people. I can't say I like the idea of such an institution, but you're obviously not supposed to.
Hanasaku Iroha - I adored this one. It's a drama (it's called slice of life, but I think it's a bit lacks the levity to really be called that) about a girl who is forced to go live with her estranged grandmother in the country and work at her inn. The girl has a idealistic way of thinking which I admire and though everyone in the country acts cruel or strange, they're all interesting enough to enjoy, no matter how sad it is. The music and style remind me of a film, as does the plot development. I'll be looking forward to this one. [Here's hoping she can patch things up with poor Ko-kun. The poor guy loved her and then she left and he felt abandoned; I hope they can keep being friends at least]
Kaasan Mom's Life - It's a slice-of-life anime in an interesting and cartoony style telling the life and misadventures of a mother manga-artist. It's pretty cute and goes through the usual troubles one would have with dealing with a family. It seems pretty realistic about what happens, which is nice. It has it's funny moments and is sweet. I wouldn't mind watching more but it's got loads of episodes. Maybe I'll just catch the live action movie instead. Lol.
SKET Dance - This is a pretty good show. I liked it and would like to watch more of it. Although it's about a club and has the word "dance" in the title, it, fortunately, isn't about a dance club. Slice-of-lifes based on clubs are very common, but this one has interesting enough characters and an interesting enough club. The club is pretty much about solving problems and it reminded me of Scooby Doo from the first episode where they solved a mystery. I look forward to seeing the rivalry between Bossun and Onihime and maybe actually getting to hear Switch's real voice [he speaks with a voice program, ha]. It's nice and thoroughly humorous.
Stein's Gate - It began a little slowly. I enjoy time travel stories, and this one involves time traveling text messages. It has the generic evil agency trying to stop the main characters, but what I like about it is that the main character seems a bit crazy [he tried to talk to Alpacaman]. I also like Mayuri (the girl I mentioned above). She reminds me of Megumi Nakajima's GUMI Vocaloid in looks and attitude. She's cute and probably the sanest of the three main characters, though likely not the brightest. There's also a computer otaku who seems to be good for laughs. I'm interested in seeing what can happen. I just hope it doesn't get too engrossed in a generic 'fighting the evil organisation' plot.
Squid Girl - Aww, isn't she just the cutest invader you've ever seen? Haha. The plot reminds me of Invader Zim or Sgt. Frog, a comedy show about an invading, but silly, force. This time she's a squid-humanoid and a very silly bake at that. The jokes are good and fun enough to enjoy watching.

Finally finished watching Death Note (the anime series) and despite the awesomeness of the series as a whole, I'm really disappointed with the ending.
I've started watching Monster now.
