OH! I know I mentioned this show in my other post, but does anyone remember Untalkative Bunny? I absolutely LOVED that show. Does anyone else here miss it, too?

It was my life dream to have already read a book featured on Reading Rainbow.

Been there. Done that. Got the T-shirt. Twice. I think one of them was some book about deserts and the other one was about dinosaurs.

Today I was organizing my iTunes library. (Hey, it's nasty out and I can't go anywhere, so... yeah) I got to the song "Sweet Victory" by David Glen Eisley, which was featured on the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Band Geeks". I searched Wikipedia to try and find out what year that episode aired (so I could properly date it in iTunes... this is making me sound incredibly geeky), and I read that SpongeBob is almost the longest-lasting Nicktoon ever- it only needs like 20 or so more episodes to pass up Rugrats. That made me frown. I loved both shows growing up, and sort of experienced the passing of the torch between the two, so-to-speak.

After reading about the history of Rugrats (I had to, for nostalgia sake), I started reading about older shows like Doug (before Disney ruined it), Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, etc. I'm incredibly tempted to try and find some of the shows on DVD for cheap, just to have.

Well, have I got news for you!

This topic has been sleeping awhile, but I'll wake it up

My favorite childhood show was The Wild Thornberries.. I still enjoy watching those.
Hey Arnold and Doug were also quite hilarious and entertaining too.
And of course the old Sesame Streets are quite awesome as well. Love the old Bert and Ernie clips.

Other old shows I love are I Love Lucy (of course, who doesn't love that one?), and Little House on the Prairie.
I also love Dr. Quinn, Medicine Women.

Oh, and an all time favorite is The Twilight Zone.. one of the greatest shows of all time in my opinion.

and in a whole different genre.. I've always found Jeopardy ridiculously entertaining.

there's a bunch more, but I'll stop there.

:-)

Oh my Gosh! Zamboomafu was pretty much my favorite show when I was little. I still remember the theme song. Also, "Saved By the Bell", "Full House", and "The Honeymooners" are among other shows that I loved and still watch to this day. I watched ZOOM every single day after school. I really am wondering what happened to that...

Am I the only one here who has no idea what Zaboomafoo is..?

I loved Catdog (I was always the cat, and my twin the dog), and I also loved Recess, Rocko's Modern Life, Ed, Edd and Eddy and heaps of others. Playhouse Disney just doesn't compare to the shows I watched when I was 4.

I think so, GA. I used to watch Zoboomafoo with my Grandson all the time and he's 12 now and has moved on to iCarly.

Don't feel alone GA, I've also never heard of Zaboomafoo!

I would post some of the shows I enjoyed growing up, but most of you wouldn't be familiar with most of them.

"Ed Edd and Eddy" brings back some of my most cherished memories. Ah, the good old days.

My grandmother got me to start Rawhide.
It took me a few seconds, but my expression was "Damn, that's Clint Eastwood!"

Snappytom you triggered my memory... yeah, My favorite Martian (especially when he got a cold). Snowmonster, Leave it to Beaver is still on Nick at night... but that is a good one. I loved My Three Sons (before Ernie).

Get em up, move em out... Rawhide! Let's get those doggies moving Rawhide.... (I think that was how the tune went)... before Eastwood was anybody.

Randy, you mention My Three Sons, before Ernie. . . . who's Ernie and when did he join?

Snowy, when Mike left the show the family adopted Ernie. Had to keep the "My Three Sons" going.

How 'bout Get Smart and F Troop?

EDIT: Rat Patrol !
