Germany has easily been the most impressive team, while on the contrary, Netherlands has been the most disappointing. I'm rooting for the Republic of Ireland, but a loss knocks us out. And we're playing Spain, so our chances aren't really phenomenal. Anyway, who do you guys root for or who do you think will win?

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I too must confess that I believe Germany will triumph.

Been interesting so far though, the bigger teams have struggled at times, Netherlands being the biggest example of that.

I'd love for Portugal to beat out Spain, but this is how I see it playing out...

Spain: 3
Portugal: 1

Germany: 3
Italy: 0

Germany: 2
Spain: 1

There is absolutely zero chance Spain scores multiple goals. Spain is gonna have probably 62-64% of the possession, but it's mainly gonna be passing and passing. Portugal can make a lot out of a little, so that's why they're going to win. Germany'll throttle Italy, although England would've fared little better, probably losing 2-0. Germany beat Portugal in the group stage, so Portugal will want it more.

Damn it, Italy.

Spain could lose to Italy, and as much as I like Spain, I don't want them to win anymore.

But I'd prefer them to Italy.

Based on how they've played so far I'd favour Italy, they've played the much better football, but if Spain manage to get their act together they're the better team on paper.

Nah, they played well in the groups, dominated England, and destroyed Germany...

Spain played well in one game and won the title, makes me wonder why they didn't play like that throughout.

I'm going to disagree with you Smithy, they unfortunately dominated Ireland in the group stage, as well as outplaying Croatia less so and even somewhat Italy, easily handled France in the quarters, were essentially the same as Portugal in the semis, maybe a little outplayed, and they throttled Italy easily.
