Not so fast!
A Christian radio host who predicted the apocalypse would come last Saturday, now says he made a mistake and it will occur on October 21.
California preacher Harold Camping said the Rapture will come five months to the day after May 21, his original prophecy.

Camping's media empire has assets of more than $100 million and had $18 million in donations in 2009.
Your last day on earth is now:October 21st, 2011
So pack your bags, kiss your dog, and send all your money to Harold S. Camping. It was a simple mathematical error, that's why the first prophecy on May 21st was wrong!
Don't believe me? Look at Harold's face...
Does that look like the face of a liar? How could you not believe those trusting eyes? How could you not fall to your knees when his beautifully shaped mouth utters these words of revelation and judgment? How could you not send all of your worldly possessions to this kind, considerate, and intelligent hunk who only wants your soul to be saved?
Think about that before you laugh, because you know who the last one laughing will be? The devil - when he has your soul and sees no one listened to the prophet of math Harold S.

Is Harold Camping lying? Is he doing this to get money? (Family Radio was already worth 117 million back in 2008.) Dude, the man is 89 - shouldn't he just retire and enjoy his remaining time (even if it is only 5 months)?

The whole church congregation he's in charge of will probably be waiting at the church for the Rapture to happen. After they go home disappointed, one of the members with a sense of humour should put clothes on the floor and leave a mess about like the Rapture had occured while they were in the middle of something and then skip town, so when people see it on the floor they think the Rapture's happened  "...Bob?"

Dude, the man is 89 - shouldn't he just retire and enjoy his remaining time (even if it is only 5 months)? That's a good point. He could just be narcissistic and be basing the end on his own lifeline's stopping point. "If I die you all die with me." Heck, perhaps it's a promise and we're lucky he's lived this long.
Gosh. Why are people so dim? If the world's ending just go roll around in feigned agonising pain or something and leave the rest of us to ... not die and not care about lies. Thanks.

The current end of the world predictions turn out to be nothing new.
Here's a link too long to print here that details 46 failed end-of-the-world predictions that were to occur between 30 & 1920 CE.
LOL, that list has nothing on good old Wikipedia! This link takes you to a list of predicted dates of the end of the world or other similar events such as the Rapture, Last Judgment, or any other event that would result in the end of mankind.
Here's a site that outs Camping:[False prophet Harold Camping last predicted the end of the world in 1994. Camping is now predicting May 21, 2011 at exactly 6pm (sunset in Jerusalem). Camping must quit preaching forever on May 22, 2011, as an act of repentance for speaking where the Bible is silent! He should also dismantle his multi-million dollar empire and donate the money to ministries like this one, which correctly identified Camping as a false teacher in advance. And why not? Bible.ca which teaches truth has never asked for donations from the public, while false prophets like Harold Camping have solicited hundreds of millions of dollars. Herald's last broadcast should be proclaiming himself a false teacher, after which he turns off the broadcast switch and liquidates his satanic empire and donates the proceeds to those churches who exposed his heresy./quote]Though they seem to lose credibility by asking for Camping's millions.

I hate that old man and I'm very tired of this nonsense. I know it's been going on for millennia already and don't believe people would ever be smart enough, as a total, to overcome it, but still, it's tiring.

Well this totally makes sense because they had to let me have my Birthday today before ending the world tomorrow! It wouldn't have been nice to end it before my birthday!

I sold everything today and I am now burning the money in a fire in front of me... well, just to the right of the computer screen (the only thing I had to keep to keep in touch). What a lovely fire... I am looking to the stars now... waiting for that thunderbolt, or whatever it will be that will end life.

The Oakland minister's latest prediction of the end of the world - which he's set for Friday - is couched among words like "probably" and "maybe," a far cry from the carved-in-stone certitude he projected onto his infamous May 21 forecast."

Caberet, he is probably getting free air time, because people like us enjoy making fun of him. The news people go for what will bring viewers to their stations... and his name does that. Bottom line, free air time for him, means advertising dollars for the news stations.
