Interesting article.
In my neck of the woods, it seems there is an increase in violence.
We've had bashings and home invasions daily here, whereas, say 10 years ago, there were hardly any....maybe one or two a year.
Many people do not go out after a certain time or do not open their door at night.
Going to the mall is dangerous. I've been accosted several times by people asking for money and threatening violence if you don't comply. And many of my friends have too.
I guess there's violence and then there's VIOLENCE!

Hah.
What is this world coming to?
There was a naked man sitting in the middle of my street yeasterday. Just on the T intersection. Just sitting there on the bitumen with his clothes in a pile. Mr Snappy called out to him "You alright mate?"
He stood up, facing us. No response. And then slowly dressed himself, not hiding the fact he has naked.
We were afraid a car would come around the corner and run him over. He was so close to the intersection that if a car did turn in, it would have been too late to see him.
Once he was dressed, he picked up his bag and slowly walked off up the street.
Strange.

Snappy, it sounds a bit like the gentleman in the street was disappointed that no major event beset him in his moment of frustration, and he gave in to the defeat he was feeling.
it is good someone called to him, and broke up the pattern of thought he was perusing.
whether one would be praised for saving his life, or whether he might condemn you for it, is a tossup

Seems to be lots of cases of people taking off their clothes in public lately! I ain't kidding!
A Mom and her daughter took off their clothes somewhere around here, I think, to protest... uh, oh, because the school wouldn't release her other daughter to her because she wasn't on file as the guardian. She wanted to take her daughter out of school for some reason. So, to protest, she and her other daughter disrobed in the parking lot. (this might be two stories put together by my confused brain, but, it makes a good story nonetheless!)
The man who was criticized for the "Invisible Children" campaign got naked and jumped around on a street in... somewhere like CA, I think.
Anyway, obviously people all over the world are stripping in public!
Life... can be so many things... how can anyone ever think they are RIGHT? HAhahahahahahaha!!!!! |
