Chinese Road Raging

I was reading Buinessweek, and there was an article about road raging. A woman was kicked in the head multiple times when she cut in front of another man, who dragged her out of the car. She got support from everyone, but then someone posted a video of her cutting in front of the men, and then she got so much hate mail that the Chinese woman was forced to write an apology.

When driving in many places around the world, you may find the cultural norms are to never shoulder check, and to make room when you merge. In China and India, these are accepted norms. In Canada, the US, and most other places I have been, it is customary to should check (take your eyes off the road) to merge, which some people would think absurd. Not that road rage is ever the right reaction, but it might be very misdirected from this person depending on the area.
