Pheew! That one was difficult. After flipping through the book, you realized that it was a Vigenère cipher, and a quick web search told you that the key was "******", but deciphering the message took some patience and hard work. Luckily, you discovered the answer and spoke into the device, "*******".
It beeps and displays the following message:

It's probably a transposition cipher. I think rail fence. Change the number of rails.

We can't go back to see what Level 4 is, so please copy and paste it here.

This may sound silly, but I got the cipher on the first level, but I have no clue who the "he" being referred to is. Any help?

Having flipped through the entire cryptography book, you know exactly where to find the answer to this riddle. As you call out the answer, the gadget makes a funny noise and a puff of smoke comes out of it. Apparently, it has self destructed.
You pick up your arm _____________, drop off your overdue book, and head home for some well deserved leisure time playing Sudoku.
Your name is now listed in the Hall of Fame.

The hint says use a Polybius Square.
Someone mentioned using a cipher that is like a polybus square but there are quite a few ciphers and none seem to be related to a Polybius Square.
Any help is appreciated.

You may need to look through the descriptors of all the ciphers, but one mentions specifically that it is like a Polybius Square.

Okay, so this forum has been really, really helpful all the way until level 10. I know the word that the semaphore spells out, but it isn't the key. Help me please...?

How many grey/white squares are there? What does that number remind you of?

The grey squares give a word when you do something to them and that word is the answer.
Have you met all the requirements to be a QuizMaster? Would you like to help the Braingle community just that little bit more? If you answered yes to both of them you should become a QuizMaster. Some categories are desperate for help. |
