Quiz Corrections

I have recently noticed that on quiz corrections, there are only two options and very little space to write a proper explanation as to why said question is wrong.

I know it takes time to get something like this rectified, so this topic is for those who would like to explain themselves further and give evidence for their corrections.

I have already reported this problem but didn't get to explain myself properly.

Quiz #11020 Desperate Housewives

On the first question the answer is wrong as Gabrielle Solis has Three daughters Juanita (legal) Grace (biological) and Celia

Susan Delfino has 2 children Julie Mayer and MJ Delfino

Lynette Scavo has 5 children Porter, Preston, Parker, Penny and Paige

Bree Van de Kamp has 2 children Andrew and Danielle

I agree that sometimes it is difficult to fully explain the problem and propose a solution in the space given, Please do your best to use the space given.

If you need more room to explain, you can try putting a message here, as you have done, or sending a message to a QM like myself, Froggygg, or MarM1098. This is not a guarantee that it will help you or that your message will be read before the correction is processed.

As always, the best way is to try and keep your suggestion concise enough to fit in the given space...though that can be tough at times, especially for the more in depth and detailed quizzes.

This quiz is aptly named "Potter Name Trivia - Harry's Peers Version"

Yet the first question so to speak is "Potter". As there are no other Potters at the school, and Harry himself can not be his own peer, this question should be invalid, or it could be changed to another persons name such as Lovegood or McClaggen

to which the answers are Luna or Cormac.

Again not sure where to put this as it wasn't a "Spelling or Grammatical error" or a "Wrong Answer", as the answer was right for the question. Yet the question itself was wrong.

I understand where your point of view is coming from, but authors are given a bit of leniency when it comes to the quiz titles. The more important info for the quiz, in this case, is found in the summary where it simply says that these will be "students at Hogwarts".

I would argue that the 1st question is simply too easy, especially since "Harry Potter", in some form, is written in the title and the summary. However, looking at the quiz number, the quiz is so old that it may have been grandfathered in when a new rule was put in place.

You are welcome to try and submit a correction on the first question, but I honestly have no idea how the other QMs will view it, so I could not guarantee an approval.

Thank you I wasn't going to submit it as i feared it would be denied as it is not right for either category.

But this quiz is very similar to a lyrics quiz for me, as it is monotonous in its one word questions and fill in the blanks (same type of questions over and over again). Under the new QMGs i don' think this would be approved if it was a current quiz.

Sorry if i am getting on your nerves with all these corrections, but that is the only thing i am looking to do right now, as i am trying to become a QM. Its very hard to get the corrections in the current system of correcting.

I have only just noticed that there is a duplicate in one of my corrections as a result of my internet losing connection and it being resent as my internet reconnected, would it be wise to oppose this rejection as it was not of my doing and i didn't knowingly put it in as a correction, the original correction was approved.
