Hello wetblankey and welcome to Braingle! There are lots of different things here to do that will keep you entertained. As Starriddler said, rating/posting on teasers and quizzes is a good place to start and it will give you points when you do so. Also, posting in the forums is a great way to meet lots of the members of our little community.
We also have a listing of the talkboxes that you might enjoy joining. In addition, under the Games tab at the top of the page, you will find two social games: TWG (The Werewolf Game) and WTB (Who's the Boss). Both games are tons of fun and will give you the opportunity to meet other members while you learn how to play the games.
