Llamas
Scientific name: Llama glama
Although their gestation period is somewhat long (11 months to a year) they normally only have one baby llama, called a cria, per litter.
Llamas are domestic animals, found mostly in the Andes in South America. They are members of the Camelid family, bigger and with coarser hair than their alpaca relatives.
