Welcome to Research Station 31, Antartica. A nearby base of Norwegiens has unearthed an ancient horror from deep within the Antarcitc ice shelf. This horror, this monstrosity, this Thing does what all things do in the prescence of Norwegiens, it absolutely flipped out, killing and maiming at the ratio of its choosing (but mainly killing).
Out in the open, a lone husky races across the landscape, away from a helicopter in pursuit. As it nears Research Station 31, the Norwegiens try to shoot it down, wounding one of the American research team. In a bid to cease the danger, the American Commander Garrey kills the Norwegien just before he can kill the fleeing husky.
What in the earth was he doing, maniacally trying to kill a dog? Cabin fever? The whole Norwegien thing again? Or perhaps the reality is far more sinister. That husky was a shapeshifting Thing, capable of imitating perfectly any life form....and now the unsuspecting residents of Research Station 31 are in jeaopardy....and only you, or perhaps Kurt Russel can do anything to stop it.

There will be no theme to this game, but I will be giving out Kurt Russel points based on the overall level of each post. At the end I will rank the members of the game to their equivalent The Thing character. From 1st and the prior named hero, to last and....this guy.....

1) The phrase "too defensive" cannot be used in this game
2) No carrying over of petty feuds from last game(s)..except I am allowed to continually point out how much better a mod I am then Har

Hey spid, you should do last words with this game. Dead players can send one final message to the remaining players via PM with the mod. It was a theme back in the day, it should make a come back.

ewww  i am afraid it would cause mass hysteria, self inflicted eye gouging and/or coma inducing drugs to forget the image that a glimpse of photographic proof could provide....maybe that should be a - 100 megakurts

I always hate the "too defensive" reasoning to shoot someone. If you're not being defensive then you're not doing your job as a human or a wolf. 
Hopefully this game will be more enjoyable than last game...

I sort of figured that, but wanted to be sure. Koin, you're right about remakes not being as good as the originals, but 2011 was not a remake, it was a prequel. But prequels usually suck (in comparison) too. The Original Star Wars movies, I liked, the 3 newer ones not so much..
Most of my favorite movies are OLD (as in 90% of the actors in the movie are dea old)" But gotta love the movies of the 80s too.
