After playing 60+ games of werewolf and the only games left to enter were two that were private, I decided to take the plunge and experiment with being an actual moderator. I always had an idea of running a series of games which each game taking place through history. Of course, as time progresses, the humans will get smarter, making it harder for the wolves to operate. But this game will chronicle possibly the first encounters with werewolves. Just as humans are befriending wolves to eventually become their best friend, it turns out some humans have a closer relationship with their new companions than the normal humans know.
I must warn the participants of this game. Being as it is, a game early in time, the humans will hardly know anything. Therefore, this game is almost set up to be a guaranteed victory for the wolves. But if you are up for the challenge, I hope you will give it a chance and let me get some experience in moderating a game.
The story: A local tribe of cavedwellers discovered the mangled body of one of their own, Tog. Some of the tribe would believe it was a random wolf attack. But others are sure that it was one of their tribemates that set their pet wolf to attack Tog, since he was a bully in the tribe and not well-liked. But they realize the safety of the tribe requires them to get rid of any possible murderer in their midst. So they will agree to shoot whoever they think did it. One human is especially brighter than the others. After pondering the problem at night, he will know the innocence or guilt of one of the tribemates.
Now, I am sure there are some flaws in the storyline. It is only a beginning after all. So feel free to modify whatever ideas can make the scenario work. (We'll see how it works out as the Days progress.)

God began calling the light Day, but the darkness he called Night.

I've not played this game before, so it should be interesting! Sounds fun to me!
I will admit I was hoping for more experienced ones due to the tougher nature of this particular game. However, as long as you don't judge all werewolf games by this one, I think we'll be okay. That being said, it is an honor to be your first experience with this genre. I hope I do it justice.

Hi jpost. I am glad you have decided to mod a game. You are one of my favorite people to play wolf with.
I'm on Braingle far too long, I stay on the computer from dusk to dawn. Playing games and chatting with friends, the novelity of it never ends.

Unfortunately, this seemed to be the next step, since in the good games, either the wolves ate me early because they knew that if I stuck around, I would figure out who they were or I was a wolf and got shot early. (Not a very good wolf).
One moral note for those who are wondering: Some of you know I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and therefore firmly believe in the Bible's authenticity as (among other things) a history book. I know modern science has made it to believe that humans first started as low-intelligent deviants from the ape family and basicly evolved from there. I personally do not believe this, but in the context of this game (I don't believe in the existence of werewolves, either), I am playing with the idea. I do not want anyone being confused by thinking this scenario is in anyway possible. (Even Jesus used a false religious idea of his time to make a point of his own.) That's it. I said my piece. Let's move on.
To create the feeling of a tribe better, you players might want to rename yourselves for this game so we can identify you better in the story process. Feel free to tell us your game name. Since branigle will never say anything, you can also propose a name for the "silent one."

hmm.... I'm trying to think of a name that sounds like a cave man. How about Vreg?
