To play this game is simple...it is a standard WWG, but with an experimental seer protection procedure.

Starting Round 2, everyone must make an SPVD post. . (Seer Protection Vote & Divination).

While an SPV is just locking in a usually random vote, the SPVD works like this....

After locking in a regular SPV, EVERYONE posts a player name and an ID/role of that person, regardless of your own role. Everyone is posting fake seer divinations so the seer (if they choose to) can clearly post their real ones. That is, if the seer dies, then the IDs of those divined will be clearly known. Furthermore, it provides humans with some information if a particular player is eaten, e.g. someone may be eaten if their false wolf divination was correct, and therefore it's likely that accused player is a wolf.

So an example of your first post of Round 2 could be as follows:
SPVD
Player: HarryPutter
ID: Wolf

If your first post of Round 2 does not contain an SPVD, I will delete your post and PM you. This is because I would like this game to test the efficacy of the SPVD, and this is the only way to do it so everyone participates. The SPVD only needs to last for as long as the seer is alive (for obvious reasons).

Feel free to ask questions. Some tactics were discussed in Celt's game, for reference

Cloud nine gets all the publicity, but cloud eight actually is cheaper, less crowded, and has a better view.

I'm sceptical about this whole idea and think that, with semi-decent wolves, it'll create more problems than it solves - but the only way to know for sure is to test it out.

"They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with cheese?" "No man, they got the metric system. The wouldn't know what a Quarter Pounder is."

The idea is fine though I dont think it should be as overt as I divined xxx to be yyy. More like little, (Har is human) thrown in throughout the round.

However, you guys are basing all your criticisms on worst case scenario, the seer will in some games die a liitle early, true probably. But basing your evaluation of a system simply on the worst case scenario isn't appropriate.

We normally ask the seer to come out in Round 4, which I think is generally a mistake, unless there are no wolves killed, cause wolves can claim in must lynch if they want to. Obviously you need some sort of savvy people for the system to work. For this system to be at least even with your expectations the seer only has to make it round 4 (at least in most of your eyes) that gives the wolves two chances of eating him (1st night eating isnt effected by any system so is irrelevant).

So you guys want 3 divinations out of the seer, and will generally take 2. While the seer will die early in some games (not as many as you think imo) that is balanced by the extra 'divinations' being tossed in. If the wolves eat someone who divined xxx as a wolf, xxx is a good bet for a wolf, even if it was just a shot in the dark divination. Same as a human divination. The wolves can murk this up a bit, but the risk is still on their side.

So the downside is the seer will die a bit earlier (maybe Night 3 a little more often than usual...night 2 is still little different than normal if done right imo) but to balance that you have 'bonus' divinations from the wolf eating choices as well as garanteed information from the seer, so that when he does die early, you still get something out of it

Looks good. SPVD time.

Happy ever after in the marketplace, Desmond lets the children lend a hand. Molly stays at home and does her pretty face, and in the evening she's the singer with the band!

This would be especially great if seer dies first round.

I'm just an ordinary average guy with nothing to lose.

There's only a 12.5% chance of that happening

There are 2 wolves, who have a choice of 7 players to eat (as one will have been shot) 1/7 = 14.3%

Scrap that - the seer might get shot, bringing th total up to 20%. Jay is right.

Speaking of which a 10 player game is probably not the best to trial this in as it's so quick

Yeah But I just wanted to make a small experimental trial. If it works in such a small game, it should work even better in a large one

True! I will give it my best shot

By the way, can the seer lie? Or does that defeat the purpose?
