Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur. It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love.

Wow, I actually got to start a game for once. Normally, I start voting for inactives for the first few rounds, but there are none here. But since the round might be over before I get here again, I am going to make a random vote. No hard feelings to whoever is selected, just business...er, I mean, just a game.

Yay, the game started. I'm going to put in a SPV.
SPV for Kaipper only because I don't know who all is in the game and she posted above me.
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

Game started, yay!! Will random SPV for nicats, but will most likely be changing if we have an inactive.

Any ideas on a possible majority, or are we leaving it to the system?
Late. Inebriated. SPV. Be back tomorrow to change if necessary.

We still have more than half the round left, though, so I expect they'll show up.

I didn't see that the game had started. It's over 2 years since I played a game so I feel a bit like a newbie again.
Thanks for the welcome back RGW4 and the vote of confidence
Still 16 hours before the round ends, I'll check back in a couple of hours and vote.

Hi Randy! For some reason I missed seeing you were in the game!
Since it is the first round and there is really nothing to base a vote on yet, I'm leaving my vote where it is. Now I'm off to bed. I'll be back in the morning.
Night all!
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

Ok, I was going to say lets vote for an inactive, but I realised I am in a Snowmonster game so there is no such thing.
So I am tossing a random vote in for someone who does not have one yet.
EDIT: jpost is the lucky candidate this round.

ok, we can't let the computer decide who gets shot. I can't remember a situation where the game let a wolf get shot. So we have to be decisive about somebody. There are four who have not voted yet, in the context of this group of players that makes them inactive. At least Hadleigh has made a post, thus not inactive. That leaves kajish, Longhorn fan, and talanpoe. Of those three, one has already been voted on, so I will change my vote to that one to start a majority on someone. Talanpoe has been active in the past, which means he (I will defend the gender reference later.) might not have realized the game is afoot. It happened to me two games ago. I signed up for a game that I knew would take a while to fill up, and when I came back a few days later, the game had started and I was the first one shot due to inactivity. Ouch! I am not sure if I will be back in time to change my vote if talanpoe shows up. If not, sorry, talanpoe.

Well, in the first round it's damn near impossible to single someone out, and shooting someone without a decent reason is not something I am willing to do. especially those who are active and who are very helpful.

I've seen it happen tons of times. And it is this groups usual MO not to form a marjoity unless there is a definite (several days) inactive player.
As Stewie pointed out, in a Snowy game there is NO such thing. THEY will all show up and if they don't they will have a legit reason for missing a round.
Not aiming this at Hadleigh at all,, but in my view that is still inactive enough to not be of any help, a player who does not vote, does no help advance the game. So if you are compiling a list of "inactive" players I'd say she has to be on it too. BUT as I said, I am confident all the players will show up.
There are still 9hrs left, lots of time for your "inactive" players to show. IT is the weekend. A lot of ppl are busier on the wknds than during the week. M-F I only have work to worry about, S-Su I have to do everything i don't have time (or inclination) to do during the week.

Question: What do you call a movie with a rating of 3.14 stars?
I have to agree with Habs... I see Mo0 votes usually shoot a wolf and always suspect people who start majorities in the first round a bit suspicious.
Hi Froggy... heck I could spend half a day saying hi to all the people I am glad to see in this game... suffice it to say it should be fun.

Here late, but oh well.
Two votes on me due to my tardiness (sorry, but no hard feelings, jpost). At this point, the only ones who haven't voted yet are me, Hadleigh and Kajish. Of Hadleigh and Kajish, only Hadleigh has a vote. So in order to: 1) vote for an inactive (well, a non-voter anyway); and 2) save my own tail, my only choice is to vote for Hadleigh and cross my fingers.
(If Hadleigh shows up later, then sorry....)
...and so now only Hadleigh and Kajish haven't yet voted. And yes, I do fully expect Hadleigh to appear and return the favor in order to save herself so in advance note there's no hard feelings there either.
5 hours to go...

Switched to kajish.
Then so will I (since Hadleigh has at least posted).
An hour and a half left. If 'inactivity' is what we're looking for here then it seems pretty clear to me that kajish should be the one shot this round.
I will also switch to kajish due to his inactivity but if he shows, will reconsider.

Wow Snow VERY ambitious! How did it turn out? I din't know you could make it in a day, thought it had to ferment.

Turned out very good. I think we'll use a little less salt, but otherwise very good. Takes less than an hour, can you believe!
1 Gal. whole milk
1 tea. citric acid
2 tea. cheese salt
1/4 rennet tablet ( I used vegetable based)
These are the only ingredients. If you want the recipe w/directions, contact me through a private message.
