YES! Tried to tell people because of his picture. Be nice to read the explanation of all the clues!
I'm really impressed that I was never really suspected to be the boss. Usually at some point everyone starts voting for me!
And I'm really curious about the clues!
And I'm really curious about the clues!
LOL....I knew it!!!!! Tried to get him back in round 4!
I did think Lupin was the rat though and was fired since Jayo got half the votes.
Awesome job guys!
Waiting on the clue explinations
Like what you love, and love what you got.

Category 1: Earth, atmospheric, possible hobby, blue, animal, trees
Category 2: novelty, possible hobby, plastic, string, repetitive, up and down
Category 1 refers to birds. They live on Earth, are quite atmospheric (they fly, yes?), are animals, live in trees, have people who watch them (Bird Watchers) as a hobby. The "blue" clue was actually the beginning of a kind of bird: the blue jay(o).
Category 2 refers to a yoyo. They are novelty items, usually plastic, made with string, repetitive, and they move up and down when used. As a hobby, people can collect and master them for cool presentations of their tricks (I have seen a yoyo show.) The idea? Jayo-yo.
So, "Blue Jayo-yo."
#1: "Earth"
Difficulty: extremely hard
Explanation: a cryptic way to say, "not of outer space"
#2: "atmospheric"
Difficulty: hard
Explanation: reiterating the "of the atmosphere, not of outer space"
#3: "novelty"
Difficulty: hard
Explanation: the novelty I'm referring to is an old toy that just about everyone in the First World has owned or at least touched.
#4: "possible subject of a hobby"
Difficulty: medium-hard
Explanation: falling under both categories, as they can both be hobbies.
#5: "blue"
Difficulty: medium-hard
Explanation: the beginning of "blue jay".
#6: image of plastic bottles
Difficulty: medium
Explanation: the idea is to get you to think, "plastic."
#7: "string"
Difficulty: medium
Explanation: a necessary component to a yoyo is string.
#8: "animal"
Difficulty: easy-medium
Explanation: an Earthen, atmospheric animal that is the subject of a hobby and both lives in "the blue" and has blue in the name is a bird.
#9: explanation of how the clues work
Difficulty: game-breaking
Explanation: you must group the clues into categories and see how the words in their categories relate to each other, and use those relationships to point to the Boss.
#10: image of trees
Difficulty: easy
Explanation: an Earthen, atmospheric animal that lives in trees, is the subject of a hobby, is a bird, and both lives in "the blue" and has blue in the name is a blue jay.
#11: "repetitive"
Difficulty: easy
Explanation: a novelty made with plastic and string that is the subject of a hobby and is repetitive is a yoyo.
#12: "up and down"
Difficulty: explicit
Explanation: a novelty made with plastic and string that is the subject of a hobby and is repetitive in an up and down fashion is a yoyo.

Round 1: Riddle\Jumbled Relations
CONSTANT
OVERLOADING
RECURSION
EXCEPTION
Key: computer programming
Round 3: Riddle\Phenomenon
"I am worn.
I block and allow, rain or shine.
What am I?"
Answer: a hat. A hat blocks both the rain and the sun, and allows you to see. You wouldn't wear a raincoat or jacket in the sun, nor would you wear sunglasses in the rain. (Or maybe you would? But, there's only one correct answer.)
Round 4: Riddle\Encryption Decryption
The encrypted text reads:
OLD TOM BOMBADIL IS A MERRY FELLOW BRIGHT BLUE HIS JACKET IS AND HIS BOOTS ARE YELLOW
It's a poem from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. This uses a 7-rail Rail Fence cipher.
I don't usually use ones found on Braingle, but this time a simple trip to Braingle's Rail Fence cipher page would have solved it for you.
Round 5: Riddle\Random
This is the very first Logic Grid puzzle posted to Braingle. The answer is:
Lisa -> Jason -> accountant
Abbey -> Jack -> salesman
Melissa -> Jeffery -> programmer
Keyword #1: "java"
Keyword #2: "pill"
Boss Challenge: the encrypted text reads:
OLD TOM BOMBADIL IS A MERRY FELLOW BRIGHT BLUE HIS JACKET IS AND HIS BOOTS ARE YELLOW
...but with a different cipher. This one is a 4-rail Rail Fence cipher.

Ha ha. Good game -- but you were NOT cleared! Did the rat forget to hack the system? That really put a twist on things. See ya all again. I'm trying to find a wolf or two now. Hmmm
Good game everyone
I never understood why I got fired or why I got fired before the next round had begun. I had kinda thought it was because I forgot to hack the system but I had been pretty sure I had.
I was surprised that no one had noticed that I had been fired at the end of round five but before round 6 begun.

We only saw updates at the beginning of each new round, kaldridge. (Or at least I saw it that way, maybe I just forgot to check!)
Those clues were hard.
fun game though.
Like what you love, and love what you got.

thanks for modding such an awesome game and thanks to everyone for making it even more awesome.
dammit. the 2nd last round, jayo's behaviour was the least boss like among those 3. that had my suspicion off him.... and the clues really were twisted. good job, jarmihi. waiting for the next wtb active store game.
Leo: Hold on. This is gonna hurt. Coach Hedge: I was BORN for HURT!!

Thanks everyone. It was an awesome ride. You were the most active group of players I ever had. Thanks for making my first 20-player game so interesting!

No the update was not at the beginning of round 6 because I remember coming on to post something after round 5 had ended but before round six had begun and remember thinking why am I fired when the next round hasn't begun.
