I expected to see ppjones and Jayo fired, as neither indicated that they voted. PYTHON said he was voting for JamFish. If he did, then JamFish is cleared. I'm putting JamFish at the bottom of my suspect list, just above Rhythmic.

I notice that 3 of the 4 names on cccgirl's suspect list are now gone, leaving just my name.

It seems that the Boss watched a movie after reading the Psych question, just so he wouldn't have to reveal the name of the last movie he'd watched.

GA, I'd like to see evidence of what your favourite subject actually is, rather than just evidence that you hate math. After all, the Boss didn't say that math was his favourite subject. His implication was that he didn't really like any of his classes at school.

The top of my suspect list is still RGW4, so that's where my vote is going.

Edit: Vote confirmed

RGW4 is a suspect in my mind as well although I don't think I feel as strong as Gizzer (who is also on my list). I'm getting ready to head out for most of the day and don't really have time to say much more right now. I'll try and get back on before the round ends.

Voting for RGW4 (at least for now) and hoping for the best.

I love Classics and Latin - look at my wiki! It says so in "About" and I also have a Latin quote on "Home" and a Latin poem in the section "Millie". Also, if you go to the second game I was boss in (moderated by tick and kvthegreat was my rat - can't find link right now due to being on my phone) you'll see one of the Psyche Answers said Latin was my favourite subject.

The top of my suspect list is cccgirl and that is where my vote is going!

EDIT: WTB game #1528 is where I answer that Latin is my favourite subject.

Thanks, GA.

Edit: By the way, I put more stock in the previous psych question than in a wiki that was updated today!

...I don't know what to make of all of this. I really don't have anything to say. For now, I guess I'll join your vote for RGW4. Voting list (beat you to it, JamFish!):

Gizzer: RGW4
Rhythmic: kitty-cat
kitty-cat: RGW4
cccgirl: RGW4
Elios: RGW4
GreenApples27: cccgirl
RGW4: Elios
JamFish: Gizzer

Hopefully more people will get on soon and we can get more opinions.

Since I'm going to have a pretty busy day today, and since it's not beyond the realm of reason, I'll vote RGW4 and join the majority. This last memo is making me think it could be him. At the very least, after reading the IMDB description, one would hope it's an adult posting that

Gizzer, you should know that you were mostly in my top 4 because I've rarely played with you and honestly don't know your and your style and whether you could write those memos (I don't even know your gender, if you're an adult, etc). I more heavily suspected Jayo, especially with the "ya" thing (I believe he's Irish), and ppjones. But that's a moot point now. Not to say I don't suspect you at all, but I don't overwhelmingly suspect you either.

I won't be joining that RGW4 vote... I know he has not idea what Kinky Boots movie is - having never heard of it. It is something that wouldn't even be on my watch at two in the morning when I just want something to help me go to sleep.

But, I accept the vote and I only warn that it is for naught... and we are running out of people. I am not the boss. However, true majority votes are really needed... rhythmic you are the only one that should reconsider your vote... you are clear and you would be one of the first on the firing list if the majority is on me.

No vote yet, I have to go find out what Kinky Boots is about.

Ok, I am double posting so I am not found guilty of changing a post... especially when the finger is pointed my way. I reviewed Kinky Boots... and if for no other reason than future games... this has a zero chance of being seen by me, in the past or in the future. I like old B&W movies, war movies and westerns. I really do not like musicals or off color comedy. I did not like Bird Cage, and since then I have stayed away from movies that have a "different" type of person in it. I started reading the description, saw Drag Queen, and looked at the list of actors - and did not recognize a single one... ok, off my list.

I have voted for Elios. I can already confirm this.

The boss message talked about it may have been obvious if they mentioned the last movie they watched, so to be honest, they watched one before answering. I wonder if the last movie watched by the boss was Sailor Moon... ok, a stretch, but knowing the boss is not me; and that the majority is on me... it doesn't really matter - the firing list will either be mandatories or from the lemmings on me. Good luck everyone... I am not going to try and stop any of you from voting for me, except the plea to Rhythmic due to his status in the game

We have 4 already, so I'm pretty sure that's a majority. Here's my math (not maths):

8 people left
4 stated votes for RGW
6/7 can vote (if rat's left/gone)
minus possible vote from rat=

3/6 (rat still here, claiming to vote for RGW), 4/6 (rat still here, not claiming vote), or 4/7 (rat gone).

So we have a 2/3 chance of it being a majority.

I've never heard of Kinky Boots either, and though I don't know what it's about or anything, I can still say I might watch it. I've seen some weird stuff before. I don't particularly CARE for it all, but still, I've seen it. I don't quite understand the parallel between KB and Sailor Moon, but I haven't watched SM for a few years.

I'm still rather distracted, and the only internet access I have is through my phone, so I can't easily do any digging. It's a little lame, but I will just follow the majority again. Vote locked on RGW.

Not a single thing! In your wiki you talk how your Braingle name came from a character on Sailor Moon. It is a movie... and if it was the last movie you (boss) saw, you wouldn't want to say Sailor Moon because the parallel between it and your name would be caught quickly! So, the boss had to watch a different movie.

For me, if I had just seen Midway, it probably would be easy to figure out it was me (though the last movie I saw was Bad Teacher, which doesn't join my normal movies either, but I am working on some bids today and can not concentrate - plus I was waiting for Nascar to start).

Ya, I get what you mean. Kinky boots does look like an.. interesting movie.. but the last movie I watched was New Moon (ugh twilight lol, my sister wanted to watch it) I think the only thing that could give me away, if I was the boss, movie wise would be something anime (which would also point to Elios) or Percy Jackson (because I'm modding a game themed around it)

For me...I don't know, there's not really a movie that would point to me. The last movie I've seen (besides the one I just returned from seeing, Runaway Bride) would be...um... Cars 2. Not exactly the most amazing of films. Voting list updated.

lol, I didn't know there was a cars 2. I loved cars one though XD I understand why RGW4 wouldn't vote himself.. but I don't understand why GreenApples isn't joining this majority? Even if your suspicions are on another player, voting them by yourself doesn't do anyone good except stop you from being a lemming if you're not the boss or the rat. By voting with the majority you not only help clear a player, which is extremely useful to us, but you don't waste a vote. We can always try and get a majority on cccgirl next round. But we've already started the majority this round. We're running out of people and time. We can't afford to waste rounds. Had it not been for PYTHON getting fired last round, it would have been a waste too.

I definitely believe RGW4's defense and I strongly suggest a change of votes to cccgirl who right now is the only person the boss sounds like to me!

For what it's worth, the last movie I properly watched was Ruby Sparks, but two days ago I half watched The Next Three Days.

EDIT: The first reason I hadn't joined is because I haven't even been online to change my vote, Jam... and the second reason is that I've played with RGW4 many times in the past and I trust his defense right now.

Ooh, I see now. I tend to forget about the Sailor Moon movies (don't like them). Sorry for being slow. XP The last movie I watched was Puss in Boots (not the Shrek version). It was kinda funny, but we only watched it because it came free with Chop Kick Panda. Lol

After approximately 2 hours, I can truthfully say that the last movie I watched was Beverley Hills Cop.

Be careful! This doesn't mean what you may think.

I can say this because 2 hours ago, I was checking the TV listings, and saw that Beverley Hills Cop was on. I watched perhaps 5 minutes of it, before moving on to a documentary.

The whole point of the Boss' answer is that the movie is one that he wouldn't usually watch. It would only take a few minutes to pick an unusual movie that is playing on the TV, watch a few minutes of it, then wait a couple of hours and answer the pysch question. At that point, he would be free to watch another movie - or a part of a movie - and refer to it in the discussion.

Am I sure that RGW4 is the Boss? No. I am keeping my vote on him? Yes.

Point taken, I hadn't noticed you hadn't been online, I've only been on for fairly short spurts. So ya, not reading too closely. I don't see any defense on RGW4's part, only that he's fine with us voting to clear him. I still don't get why you would be so against clearing him unless you are the rat.

@Gizzer, that's a good point.. so I guess while the boss gave us some information in the Psych answer.. it's kinda mute. We can't use it for much.. that sucks There's no harm in clearing another player and with no real leads (unless I missed something) I think it's better to keep the for sure majority we have going.

Well I suck at math stuff so I'm not really sure how many we NEED for a majority but I don't want to waste a round. If you really want to get to your main suspect you won't mind waiting another round to get a majority on her. We almost (or do) have a set majority this round and it seems silly to change it. Especially when your actions scream rat. Why are you trying so hard to get the majority off RGW4? I am complete for a majority on cccgirl, next round.

Jam, short of sounding like the boss, or the rat... sometimes people do not want to join a majority. There is no reason for GA to join one against me, there already is a majority. You seem very pushy to have everyone join something that they may or may not want to join. I only asked Rhythmic to reconsider changing his vote, because he is already cleared. If he does step up and decide to change his vote, then someone else who has not voted for me might consider it... just to maintain the "true" majority.

I hardly ever join a majority the first couple rounds... its just how I play. When I do, it normally is either because I truly believe the person could fit the boss roll, or I am in the boss/rat role and want to get that majority going.

We are down to 8 players... not sure if the rat is still with us or not... so we either have 6 voting players or 7 (if the rat is gone). To win, the boss has to have 50+ votes... so 4 votes is all it takes to fire the boss. Currently, there are 5 votes on me... that makes it rat proof. If it stays this way, I will be cleared and a couple people who voted for me will be gone. It looks as if we have NO mandatories, as long as everyone confirmed their vote. I suspect the rat and the boss have voted for me... but again, that still makes everyone who votes for me a lemming...and with 3 other players voting for me in that group... they will be on the firing list.

All I can ask... is that all players confirm that their votes are confirmed! Really, that is the biggest flaw to this game for the employees to win, its that employee who did not confirm and were fired for not doing so. And with that slip up, the boss has ammunition to get people sparked to repeat their vote. Most of this discussion should take place during round zero when no one has any title... it makes what is said have more meaning for new players. I realize I am on the chopping block and some of what I say may seem self serving... but as an employee... it will help in the future.

Edit - and I meant to say... Gizzer is absolutely correct... after re-reading how the post was made, it never really said the person finished watching the movie - even I was fooled by that! Good job Gizzer!

Yes but when (and I hope he does) Rhythmic steps down, we won't have a rat proof majority. We NEED him to vote for a rat proof majority.

8 votes, 5 for rat proof majority, 3 who should not be voting.

Rhythmic and I are cleared, it makes no sense for us to become lemmings. It makes no sense for you to be a lemming and vote for yourself, that leaves exactly five people who need to join the majority for it to work. Normally I wouldn't push someone specifically into a majority if not for this and the fact that GreenApples seems abnormally AGAINST voting for you or going with the majority.

I have confirmed my vote on Gizzer. Discussion like this during round zero takes the fun out of the game since the group (including the boss) could agree to have a majority on the boss before they were boss and boom game over. Round zero is like interviews to get hired. You can't make decisions about a company before you even work there.

Also I apologize if I seem to be a very out there player. It's just how I play, I point out every theory I see and every clue possibility and anyone watching from the sidelines would see a rat-like quality in GA refusing to vote for you.

First, in round zero, no one should be talking about who to fire and how, just about maybe the number part of figuring out how rat proofing a vote goes/what if rat and boss are both voting for someone, and basic understand of the game.

Currently, I am on the supposed firing block - (I can only say that currently, I will be here next round regardless of who and how many vote for me as long as it is any type of a majority vote and not a tied vote - and hence the problem of having me try and explain this now).

You, Jam, are only tentatively cleared... that is the problem with only one person being fired for the round. You are, as it was put, on the bottom of the list. Many bosses have won by having the person who voted for them be fired, only to find out that they did not confirm their vote after the game is over. I actually did not want to say this, because if only one person is fired this round, I am in that same position, not really cleared (unless everyone believes that everyone has confirmed their vote - my biggest point).

I actually did address the point on whether Rhythmic changed his vote or not. But from my standpoint, it is incidental whether he is replaced or not - innocent people will be fired this evening. Someone else should explain this part so it does not sound like I am trying to use a loop hole to get out of a vote against me.

You talk about why GA is totally against voting for me, well, I sort of understand that. We have played a lot of games together and you sometimes just "know"... simple things. Answers to questions, way of writing, and such. Would you really throw yourself under a bus to prove a player you felt was not the boss was Not the boss? That seems to be what you want GA to do. Now, if I "was" the boss and GA "was" the rat - he wouldn't vote for me for anything, unless he knew I had a way out. I only say this because I know I am not the boss - making me convinced he is not the rat... and not the boss. At this point, no way to prove any of it, but to GA... he has the right assumption (and I know he knows I mean it).

If GA doesn't want to join the majority vote, he shouldn't. He's shown that his favourite subjects in school are Latin and Classics. The Boss didn't really have a favourite, but picked Math. It's not a definite clear, but I've put GA low on my suspect list.

If Rhythmic chooses to change his vote, we won't have a Rat-proof majority, but a Rat-proof majority is not always necessary. We can clear RGW4 if people voting for him are fired. Even if no one is fired, it is not a completely wasted round - think of it as getting a bonus Psych question!

OK GA,

Now I'm kind of irritated. You've accused me no less than 3 times and refused to join a majority because you keep saying I'm your top suspect. Would you care to at least share why?

Last round, when I did not join a majority, I was very clear as to why, and in all fairness, you should share your reasoning instead of being so insistent on voting me without reason that you are trying to break up the current voting majority, which would then help no one but the boss. At least the remaining employees can get a solid clear. If you want to vote me next round (if I'm still around next round as right now I'm a potential "lemming"), feel free. Else, your behavior is just coming off as a confusion-sowing rat.

Keeping my vote on RGW4. If we're wrong...it's probably Kitty or Elios. The boss has been pretty smart this whole game, changing up strategy and tone, and keeping us guessing. In my experience, really smart bosses tend to be women

JamFish: keep your vote where it is. Non-cleared players should be voting for the majority. At this point, I don't even think it's RGW4 anymore, but I'm willing to just keep my vote for the sake of the clear, even if it means I'm fired, so that by process of elimination the remaining employees can figure out who the boss is. Plus, I've allowed myself to get irritated, which is never good for me playing a game, so it's probably time I go anyway.

Don't be irritated that I think you're the boss. It's more that I honestly believe RGW4 is NOT the boss, and I voiced this before half the round had been through, when there was ample time to choose another majority (and I suggested you because you were my top suspicion) yet everyone insisted to stick with the RGW4 vote. You can't blame me for not voting someone I believe isn't boss when there was enough time to suggest an alternative vote yourself. But you stuck with RGW4 so really it was out of my hands whether or not I was joining a majority vote.

I honestly believe the boss will lose this game. We are far too ahead to give the boss a win.

I sure wish I had been able to get on more yesterday. I had a lot to sift through before making this post and not much time to do it. Hopefully I didn't miss anything and it isn't too early for me right now. Sometimes I don't think as clearly as I could if it is too early in the day.

Anyway, RGW4's (and others) explanations of the mechanics of the game makes sense. Of course they don't really point to anyone or help clear anyone. They should help us all become better players, and for that I am thankful.

I'm going to go ahead and change my vote to kitty-cat. If RG isn't the boss, that keeps me from being a lemming. If he is, I'll probably be fired since all the other votes appear to be tied at 1. I also suspect the boss and/or rat have stated they are voting for RG.

I hate when I second (thrid, fourth, etc.) guess myself in this.

You missed at least a good part of my point. I am less irritated that you didn't think it was RGW4, and that you think it's me. That's fine. I'm not a clear (at least not until I get fired). It was more the, "no, everybody change your vote to cccgirl" repeated mantra without giving anyone any reason why. I'm your top suspect. Why? You still haven't answered this. You gave no one any reason why you thought it was me, or why they should change their vote, so it came off as being rat-like.

FWIW, you said I could have suggested an alternative early. I could have, and had RGW4 posted his explanation before I voted, I may have. As it was, I logged on early, saw the vote, joined it as I was rushing through the door, caught up when I came back yesterday evening, thought RGW4's explanation rang true, but realized that we had enough people suspecting him that we needed the clear to make progress in the game, even if I no longer thought it was him.

If I'm not here next round, I have a theory. Elios is at a con. They may have been screening "Kinky Boots" or part of it as part of a program. At cons and similar gatherings, you get exposure to all sorts of things that you may not necessarily watch yourself at home. I think Elios would make a good clearing vote for next round.

Your reasoning about Elios makes sense, cccgirl. Assuming I'm still here, I'll join that vote, especially since I'm not cleared yet.

Edit: Oh, well, thanks, GA. That makes me feel so much better. Yeah, we'll see.

Edit 2: I updated the voting list. Hopefully it's accurate now and I didn't miss anything.

Well on the downside I slept through the last of the round, on the upside no one wanted me to join the majority anyway. I'm interested to know why GA hasn't explained.. cccgirl has a good point about that.

She makes a good point about Elios as well but I want to post a flaw. After looking up the ibmd for "Kinky Boots", it isn't fantasy, horror, anime, gaming OR sci-fi. These are the main categories that WOULD show at a con unless it's something furry related (I have yet to find a movie that centers around fursuits. ) Still, at the possibility, I am for voting Elios for a clear. I have no other leads and the only other person I find suspicious is GA but I find him suspicious in a Rat kind of way.

P.S @ Kitty-cat, thanks for doing the list for me

I don't think the time to vote for a clear is a good idea... we are running out of players. Those who have been cleared will almost have to start jumping on the vote wagon if you want to clear players.

I also think talking about who to vote for next round is also not a good idea until the round actually starts, unless you have some super great insight to why we should vote for someone and you think you may be fired during the night.

Jam, if your point about what is shown at a con (what is a con anyway?) is right and from that you feel Elios is not the boss, then it really may not make sense to vote for her.

The decison on who to vote for may become known once the next round begins... so lets just wait for that!

A "con" or convention is a huge (usually multiple day) event at which people who enjoy a similar fandom gather to celebrate it. Sometimes there are cons specifically to one show or game, for example there are many homestuck conventions, others are more wide spread. For example Anime North in Toronto includes all anime while FanExpo includes Horror, Sci-Fi, Anime, Gaming and Fantasy. Then other cons, like Anthrocon, are purely for those in the furry fandom. (Those who like creating a"fursona" and fur-suits as well as people who like anthropomorphic stuff in general).

Normally they show things related to the fandom.

So they show cosplay music videos, amv's, webshows, newly airing episodes of shows within the fandom, trailers for upcoming movies and such. Sometimes they'll have an anime watching room where people just relax and watch anime or another fandom show for a while with other's who enjoy it. Sometimes there will be "panels" to show specific types of a fandom. For example at Anime North their was a panel called "Crack Anime from the Golden days" or something along those lines and it was just full of watching anime that made no sense or made you stare at the screen and thing "WTF "

They RARELY show movies at conventions. I don't think I've heard of them doing it once but I could be wrong.

At this point I don't have any thoughts. I had thought you (RGW4) were the boss or Gizzer but as we're here now you're obviously not the boss and I don't have enough evidence or thoughts to back up anybody at the moment. Which is why I was ok with going on someone else's suspicions. Also, we'll be losing people. So it's their last chance to get any thoughts out there. Unless something specific comes up in the memo or round I think I'll most likely be following the most intelligent majority. As you have said, there aren't enough people for our clears to sit dormant.

I just want to mention that I think the Boss is doing a really good job. He/she has managed to completely confuse all of us (except him/herself and the Rat, if he/she's still around). But I really don't have anybody standing out to me as the Boss.

...

So yeah. I wish the next round would start already.

I'm finally home. Looks like I still have to wait to see if I get fired or not. It's never fun to have to wait too long for the axe to fall!

Edit: I agree that we shouldn't be discussing who we want to vote for next round at this point. Remember - the Boss is watching!

Yeah, not really, Jam. Just bored and, ya know, stuff. Glad you're back, Gizzer. At least we don't have any inactive players anymore, and it's just a matter of having everyone (read: Boss and mod) getting on. Maybe it's a conspiracy by the boss - to try to annoy us to death by having us wait for so long. Na, probably just busy.

It might not necessarily be the boss, could be the mod conspiring. lol. While I agree, some of us won't be here next round and it's important for some thoughts to be shared while we still can.

Keep in mind last round started (in my humble opinion) in the middle of the night... so that was due to the mod's time frame. Hopefully the mod will just try and bounce that time around a bit to give everyone a decent exposure to a round or two.

Agreed - that's why I keep opening my big yapper with any thoughts I might find helpful, because I am almost positive I'll be fired shortly.

Jam - I have only been to two Cons, but I go to geek conferences that are very con-like. Last year, I was at one in Portland that had a rave night, with old movies playing in the background (picture only). I could have claimed to have seen those movies, even though they were really just BG for the rave. All I'm saying is it's a possibility that the movie was background to something else - a dance like that rave, a fashion show, whatever.

Also, in the past in my local geek group, there's been a 24-hour movie room, in case you need down time, I guess. And almost every one I've been to does a screening of Rocky Horror. But I digress.

And just random, totally off topic remembrance: in 2009, our conference hotel for our national gathering (Mensa) in Pittsburgh was two blocks away from the city's convention center - and one of the biggest furry gatherings in the world. I got to go over there and meet a lot of friendly furry folks the night before our conference ended. Apparently lots of us were crashing their convention, because by the end some had decided to return the favor. One of the booths at the furry con was closed with a sign saying, "Gone to watch Mensans at the Omni."

Oh see most cons I've been to have 24-hour anime screening. I assume it depends on the type of con. Anime north had a rave and it had loud music lights and E, the whole shebang, but no movies.

I've seen things like that before. There was a "furry flashmob" when two cons were held close together and about 30 furries crashed the anime convention

Jubu... you're fine! We have a pretty good group here, fairly active - makes the game fun. I understand scheduling situations - and don't take my varying the time as a complaint... I just know that some people like to be "first" to post, or at least be awake when the round is over. Pretty hard to do for everyone with an international group!

Besides that... Happy Birthday Jubu - today is your birthday and we didn't even have a cake for you! Hope it was grand!!!

Well, I'm off to work again. I wonder if I'll still be in the game when I get back.

BTW, once the game clock is below 24 hours, you'll know the Boss has already decided who to fire, and you can speculate freely until jubu starts the next round.

Of course, if the Boss has not submitted the memo, the end will end when the clock gets down to 24 hours left. Let's hope not!

Have a great day everyone, and if I'm not here next round - have a great endgame!
