Well, looking at the list, Moonstone's game was abandoned as well 
Is starting the game really the only way to get it off the top page? You'd think there'd be a mod of Braingle we could write to to say that the mod will be inactive....

Hello all! I was sitting in bama's game for awhile and saw that this one was nearing capacity. Thought I'd pop in and help get it off the board. 
@Yuffie: There is Braingle's creator, Jake. I know several people have messaged him about serial game-starters who always let them just sit (that kitty chick being the worst I know of!). I don't think there've been any measures enacted to control it, though.

Welcome! I think we still need 4 more people - I'd help spread the word, but none of my friends are active anymore (I was on a brief - okay, 3 year - hiatus LOL)

That's ridiculous! I love Braingle and the fact that it is member-run (like the games etc) but there needs to be some sort of crowd control. Even if he doesn't temporarily ban the people - he should be at least able to erase it off the board; or start a voting system where if people don't want to play it, it can be voted off screen  That could get out of hand, but something like that. Otherwise, people are just going to leave. What's the point of playing these social games if you never get to actually play?

Fortunately, if the first boss is inactive, the game allows for a second player to be boss. Since the odds that both bosses are inactive is less than 50%, it is probable that this game will actually play out. We just have to wait for the game to boot out the first boss.

because the mod was inactive for so long there is no guarantee that this will not happen again.
instead of taking that chance and being held captive in this game i will be a mandatory in the first round

If the first Boss is inactive, doesn't the game just go back to sign-ups again? Or does it start immediately with a new boss?
I'm considering being a mandy, myself. I agree with Izzie that it's likely the Mod will have more bouts of Inactivity, and with 2 day rounds, we could play for a week just to then have the game abandoned. Not fun.
I was going to suggest bama's game as he has been waiting for a long time to have his game; he restarted it with shorter rounds and fewer players in the hopes of filling it more quickly. He had been active but I don't know ... Now he's been off for a week. Maybe it's just because of the holiday. Anyway, anyone looking for a new game to join after this one, maybe check out bama's.

I dunno, I'll give this game one round of an inactive boss but if no one votes, the game will be pretty much over anyway so I guess I don't have much of a choice LOL

Sure does take a long time for each round to time out. Glad I had the holiday weekend to distract me from all of this waiting! ;)
