Who's The Boss
Game #2912: Power Tower, Incorporated (beta)
This game is moderated by Estam. Please read the rules and contact the moderator with any questions or concerns about this game.
This game finished in 4 rounds.
Ok, here is the voting list from last round. (Please note I'm not adding any new information, I'm just condensing and reposting information that has already been shared. It should be well within the rules.)
braingle01 -
Elios - Elios
ForrestGumpster - koin_era345
koin_era345 - Werdna
The_Spider - koin_era345
Werdna - Elios
GA - Izzie
Izzie - mandatory (?)
The GA/Izzie thing is regrettable as we learn nothing from the firings. And Forrest stated a safety vote for koin early in the round, but later said he wasn't going to tell us who he voted for. So, his vote may have changed (if he even voted ).
I'm not sure who to suspect. I don't think it's braingle01 b/c I've read her posts as boss, and these are nothing like them (she's not as wordy).
By my own tally I should have 4 I-Points, right? Can I hire the hacker twice in one round to find out someone's vote? ... This raises some questions for me as to the points & role functions; forgive me if these were answered earlier:
1) Let's say Player A needs Player B's vote in order to get +1 I-Point. Let's also say that Player B is the Boss/Rat. Player B says in-game that he voted for Player A, so Player A expects to get +1 I-Point. Will Player A get that point, considering the Boss/Rat don't actually vote? And if she doesn't get the point, that information will help her determine that Player B isn't an Employee, no? (Ooor, that Player B wasn't truthful about his vote....)
2) If a player hires the Hacker to check someone's vote, and he just so happens to ask for the Boss/Rat's vote, what will the Hacker's answer look like? (Or is this something we're supposed to find out for ourselves by playing the beta?)
I now see how these points can be used to whittle down the possible Boss candidates as well as tell when another Employee is lying. If you expect to get some points and don't (or vice versa), you learn a lot. Hadn't realized that until these questions came to me. xP
Edit to add clarity to my theoretical examples.

Leaning toward Elios actually, so safety vote there to begin, though I do agree with her, very little chance Braingle is the boss

I will vote when the time comes. I will see if there are any more posts, but probably won't be many more since we voted out most of the talkers. Oh well. I will check later.

Oh yeah.. voting is probably a good thing to do. LOL
I don't suspect braingle01 or koin_era, and GA confirmed that Gumpy is cleared. So for me, it's Spider or Werdna.
GA said in Round 1 that he didn't suspect Spider at all based on words in the memo (chaps vs chumps). So I guess it's Werdna!
Just out of curiosity, Spider, why do you think I'm the Boss?
Hopefully our mod will come back because I'd like to see about using some points for a Hacker....

Wow, this round has gone by quickly. Thinking spider or werdna now, I'll put in a vote for spid.

Public announcement: List of voters sent 6 hours before deadline.
I'm learning a lot. Thanks again to all of you.
I believe that WTB is really a game about analyzing the psych questions. If you try it in real life, your hunt begins by asking the same question to other players and there's where you analyze whether the person is being sincere or answering away from the question. But since this has different vote system, I've learned that in a long game the Boss has a disadvantage over Math inclined Players. However, that is only true if they have enough information. I
I also learned that it would be more fun if at least 2/3 of the Players (Boss and Rat included) are Professionals or at least have roles or "gameplay effects" than how I intend to give out just 3 to the Players and have 3 third-party Professional.
Thanks again. Hopefully I'd set up the real game by Feb (don't have time this month).
Btw, I'm not the kind of person who would mind what you rate me as so just put whatever stars you feel like.
And I'm not saying these things 'cause the game is about to end. I actually can't see the vote list during the round and needs to wait for it to finish. I forgot to thank you all the previous rounds so I just thought I'd say this to as many Players as I can.

Nope. The current skill of the Hacker takes the whole "Night" hacking the system. The Hacker could not even use his or her own skill if he or she chooses to be hired, that means he would need to choose between accepting the request to hire him/her (which would earn the Hacker additional Point) OR Hack the record of whom s/he wants.
The Boss and Rat also vote. They vote through sending a private message to me stating their vote. However, since even the moderator should submit to the WTB website setup, their votes do not affect "clearing a Player" or even if the Boss votes for him/herself, that vote would not add up to fire him.
The Hacker then gets the vote the Boss and Rat sent me.
Thanks a lot for asking.

If what you mean is because braingle01 is not voting, then no need.
The rules say "If you do not vote by the deadline, you will be instantly fired due to poor work performance." Even this rule the moderator can not prevent.

I mean for lack of posting. She is a troll who never posts, but votes so to not get fired. This isn't fair to those who are trying to get majorities and actually find the boss.
