OOOHHH....The suspence rises.
I am honestly thinking that 4wheels is the rat. The no post last round and not being fired makes me think that she did it to make us think she was the boss and that is why she was not fired due to not posting or voting.
I am starting to really think the Nicats theory is the best way to go.
Though I must thank the boss for ridding the 2 people that were on a suspect list of many as now we do not have to waste a round on them

Since Guam and Slamm were both also on my suspect list (something about which I was quite vocal). We know (or assume) that LH is clear (of being the boss anyway), so that leaves

nicats
and
StewieGriffin
as possible suspects for the boss. As LH pointed out, 4Wheels neither posted nor stated a vote in the previous round, yet is still here. This would indicate that she is either the boss or rat.
While I see LH's point about not wasting another round on Slamm or Guam, I personally would have left them in the game since they were tweaking the boss-dar of several players. I like to keep suspicious acting players around so I can still try to lay low
This being said, I think I will join LH in the nicats vote. Not that I necessarily suspect her above others but we need to vote together to win the game.
OF course if LH is the rat she is leading us down the garden trail.

I refrenced this last round regarding the memo of Lizzie Borden.
I feel that this is a famous American Murder and would not be something a Brit would really have known. The rhyme was a skip rope rhyme. I do not see Stewie knowing a skip-rope rhyme about an American.

I noticed slammin being weird in earlier rounds as I pointed out her odd post to snow.
Ironically also been feeling weird about stew as I voted him 1 & 2.
This round I have placed a safety for Bobbi just to keep from being fired.
Elios was not a mandi last round and I honestly do not think Sky was either. The boss is messing with us on that first line of the memo.
I do not think, however, that Stewie would have k.own the "Lizzie Borden rhyme" as it was an early American murder and girls used it for skip rope.
Just a thought to ponder there.

lol, good catch Bradon! I knew somebody would pick up on it. I left myself off as obviously I do not suspect myself. I have stated over again that I am not the rat, and have offered myself up to be voted for numerous times to prove I am not the boss.

Not sure how I feel about the Nicats theory, she has been fairly quiet the whole game:
Round 1 - 3 Posts, claimed a vote for Sky
Round 2 - 1 Post, claimed a vote for HABS
Round 3 - 2 Posts, claimed a vote for HABS
Round 4 - 8 Posts, claimed a vote for HABS, then switched to LH, then a lot of ide chatter about haunted places
Round 5 - 4 Posts, claimed a vote for Slam
Round 6 - Has yet to post, but may be working
She hasn't posted a lot relating to the game, or overall compared to others. Not sure how chatty she normally is, but thinking maybe she is saying enough to seem helpful, but staying quiet enough to not give anything away.
I'll be around most of the day since I am not working and due to the messy winter am skipping the gym (AGAIN  )
Will vote Nicats for now.

lol, I have no idea how anyone could think I am the boss. It sounds nothing like me. But whatever, as I've saying for several rounds now PLEASE vote me to clear me! You stand a chance of being fired for doing so, but at least then we will know I am clear
I just had to look up "My Bloody Valentine" as I had no idea what it was. An alternative rock band - may have heard some of their music but not sure. A slasher movie (which I never watch, I like movies that play with your mind not ones that are just gore for no reason - and I was 8 when it came out, I doubt my mother would have let me watch it even had I wanted to.

The boss (murderer) isn't revealing anything personal, just a lot of statements or non-opinions, all of which could be easily googled. S/he never said they watched any movies or even tv shows and the only real maybe -revealing comment was about the "old hospital here has paranormal activity," and that was prefaced with "I think", so all the denials and claims of no knowledge goes out the window, imho.
So, I'm left to gut feelings and since my gut feelings are normally just a bubble off center I am going for my second choice just to try and break my record of being wrong.

No, the boss never said they watched any show but the statement that it "was a good show" is indicative of someone who has seen it. I can't tell you if it is or not as I have never watched it, I also have no opinion on American Idol, Survivor, or the Walkng Dead (which I am given to understand it quite popular) as I have never seen any of them. Sure I could google it and tell you specifics about the show, but not whether I liked it or not. The boss also said she (boss is obviously female since no males are still a viable option) recently watched a special on Lizzie.
The last show I watched on any criminal of any type was a special on DB Cooper. And it turned out to be (as most TV is in my book) a colossal waste of time as they know nothing now that they didn't know in 1971.
I am thinking that perhaps Bobbi is the boss.

Sorry guys. I did vote. But when I was going to post who I voted for the internet quit working. So I was not able to post anything. It did not start to work until late last night when the round had ended.

Based on your above post, and If I can believe what you are saying and the special on DB Cooper wasn't watched last night, then I would have to agree even though "recently" is an extremely vague time period, that you can not be the murderer. That being the case, I would change my vote to Nicats to help with a majority on her.
LH, what are your feelings on this? We most definitely need a majority and all this back and forth commenting is getting us no where. I'm not the boss, I'm not the murderer and I'm not the Rat.
Nicats, it would be nice to hear from you as well. Stewie? 4wheels? Have you both abandoned the game?

As I had mentioned I do think that Nicats is the Boss/Murderer. If it is not her then I would lean towards Bobbi, but for the time being Bobbi is low on my list, perhaps I am off but........
Nicats does not work on the weekends. Ironically the round over the last few days were quick.
HABS, Bradon, and I were on quite a bit over the weekend as was Snow and Nicats.
I have noticed the Memos being less personal but also having a bit of sarcasim to them and Nicats as well as HABS can both be a bit sarcastic.
Last time I played with HABS as a boss she was not all "Please vote for me, I welcome the clear". She was more, I thin we need to get a majority on .......
I do know that with there only being 6 players left in the game we need 4 votes on a player for a majority AND even with that it might not be enough as the boss or rat might state votes but I do think it is between Nicats and bobbi with a light possibility of HABS.
I am thinking less 4wheels as the above post would just be stupid to make if one was the boss. If I was the boss and that had happened to me I think I would just come out and state that I was the rat and that I could not get on-line......who cares if you are the rat....find the rat is not the object of the game.
The whole idea of "hiding" my non post/vote behind internet issues could be seen as suspicious and I do not think a boss would take that risk.

I about bust a gut laughing when I read this. If You think I'm sarcastic on here - you should hear me in person. Funny thing is I am so rubbing off on the little girl (almost 4) I babysit.
The other day I asked her where my jacket was - she responded with "I don't know, I don't wear it"! Asked if she knew where my keys were I got "Well where did you leave them? I doubt they grew legs and walked away" - I LOVE it!
LH does make a good point about Nicats/
Bobbi - to be honest don't know when the DB Cooper special aired, I PVR'ed it and watched it 2 or 3 weeks ago. I haven't watched TV since.
Read my signature - I still have that TV, MY (as opposed to "his") other TV is a 25+ year old floor model (weighs about 200lbs but the screen is less than 30"). I can't be bothered to replace TVs that while old work fine.

Whoa whats up? Holy cow ok i see lots of ideas and plans.
Honestly the magical appearance of 4wheels goes with my theory.
I was thinking habs or lh is the rat. Right now they rush the voting and then change it to cause confusion.
If i was the boss the round ended while i was online. I could have filled it out for snow to approve before the night ended. So it would have been just as quick as all weekend. I even checked in at 3 & 6 am to see if the new round started anxious to see where we would go next from that crazy mess.

I agree with LH in that Who cares who the rat is? I have mentioned who I think the rat may be, but I am not overly concerned with it I have stated as much in past games as well. I don't trust any other player (unless I AM the rat then I trust the boss)

Nicats refusal to go along with the majority strikes me as strange. If we don't get a majority we can neither clear a player nor win the game. Individual voting has to stop and we need to vote together. I don't know how LH and I have been "rushing the voting" the round is almost 7 hrs old. Hardly a rush to me.

Sorry for not getting back last round, Life got the better of me, and I ended up being super buys, Also yes I was on bobbi, but I was on my phone and itwould not let me post in the game.
It's my Dad's 60th tomorrow and we have been in a bit of a rush to get everything planned for a suprise birthday tomorrow
Apologies for that, it seems like all is sorted out now though.
As for this round. I do't know who the boss is, but whoever it is, has played very well so far. If I was to guess I would say Probabl habs or 4wheels. I agree with pretty much everything you said. I am going with 4wheels. for now, and unless someone can convince me oetherwise I am going to stick with taht vote this round
I don't think it's nicats, she just doesn't seem to fit the bill, and seems to be playing like she always does when an employee.
HABS I am not sure of, it's late n the game and she seems like an employe but it's hard to judge.
LHI am almost sure is humans looking back over previous rounds and firings.
I know I am an employee(though I don't expect anyone to believe that as I have no proof)
So that leaves 4wheels or bobbi, and seeing as how things went down last round, I am going to go for 4wheels.

OK so 4 out of 6 players are stating votes for bradon .
If the boss/rat or both are in the mix we would not have a clear. The only sure way to get the clear is if I vote for her too and I am just not sure I want to be a lemming. The boss would surly fire me....
Although, if any of the bradon voters do get fired the we can also clear her that way since boss voters get fired.
If I vote for Nicats and I get fired then nicats can not be the boss and bobbi must be but there were just not enough votes for a maj without my vote and the rat's stated vote.....so I guess with the way it is set up we have a good outcome either way with a clear for the next round.

How do you figure that? If you vote for Nicats you will be the only one voting for her, and since I'm not the boss, there is no way for you to be fired. I'm just not buying it.If you are in fact not the boss or rat, I'm asking you to trust me to be telling the truth and vote for me to make a majority.

If no one that votes for you is fired then you could be the boss therefore I would be the only one who would be able to be fired b/c I did not vote for the boss's as your vote for HABS would not count.
It is a way to get 2 answers out of the way.
I personally am not thinking you are the boss and I am the only cleared player so I do not want to be a lemming as the boss would surly fire me.

This is what is bugging me. I could very well be being set up by a very clever Rat. The "good outcome" clearing nicats would frame me. That is the dilemma. Convince me...

It is just my thinking. I might be way off but I am just trying to get something done here.
If I am misthinking then I am but the way I see it is that IF you are the boss then there are enough votes to fire you IF I am the rat.
If you are the boss and I am not the rat then that makes 3 votes for you....still enough to fire you as it is over 50%.
If you are not the boss then people voting you will be fired.
I assure you I an NOT the rat. I am the only real cleared player. If I vote for you then I will surly be fired.
My thinking with Nicats is that IF you are the boss and the rat is in those stating a vote for you then perhaps there is not enough votes to fire you cause the boss needs more than 50%....(I think).
So in that instance you can not fire anyone who voted you so the only 2 choices left would be me and the rat. With me being clear I would bethe obvious choice unless you just wanted to fire the rat.
As I stated earlier though.....I do not think you are the boss so I will not be put on the chopping block for something I have doubts about.
I hope that makes more sense. And as I mentioned my logic may be wrong but it works in my head so I am going with it.

Your logic makes sense, but ... assume with me I am not the boss. The way the declared votes stand, I'm voting Haabs and no one else has stated a vote for her. So the boss can't fire me. You are voting for Nicats, and no one else has stated a vote for her so you can't be fired. 4wheels, Haabs, nicats and Stewie stated votes for me. Since I am not the boss, one of those 4 can be fired, so, okay, I guess that makes sense. I'm sure I'm going to be going over this in my mind in my sleep, but okay I think unless the boss decides to not fire anyone, it will clear me and keep you from being fired. What happens If the boss decides not to fire anyone, where does that leave us? Right back where we started. How long could this go on?

Lol.....I thought that last part too....but at this point the boss would be foolish not to fire anyone b/c each round gives little bits of info and they would eventually be caught.

I implore whomever is boss to fire someone this round so the game can more forward, not firing anyone accomplishes nothing (save keeping you around for an extra round) and is in my eyes a fairly cowardly way to play, you should try to beat us using your wits not by giving us nothing to go on.
I am not saying you are "lying" per se, I am just saying you'd better STOP, DROP and ROLL, because your pants just burst into flames. |
