Hello and welcome to Stewie's Split Second, or SSS 4. For those of you who have played before then you know what is in store, for those who have not I will post links to the prvious games.
I must warn you that the story can be gory sometimes, so beware of that before you join, just in case you are freaked out by that stuff.
The games thus far...
Part 1 Part 2 and Part 3
Story: "It had been a few years since Stewie was last spotted, the last anyone heard of him he was in prison for his crimes. Then one faithful day it happened, a breaking nes flash. Stewie had escaped and was on the loose, knowing what he was capable of, everyone once again feared for thir lives. People wre ordered to stay at home, lock thier doors and windows. Stewie could strike anytime, anywhere.
Though after a few days of nothing happening and with no sign of Stewie, a few people took it upon themselves to try and track down Stewie to end this fear once and for all."
You have been warned...
Otherwise Please join and enjoy the game.
Stewie.

NOTE: Part three had a story, but I opted not to finish it as the game ended quickly and I decided to save the ideas I had for future installments of the series. So bare that in mind when clicking the link.

Haha, knowing you it was probably more than a question Did you get on your nook?
Haha.. I don;t know about that right now Im on the computer anyway.. but I can use my nook if it comes to that
Well Fleetie it depends on the question...For example If you asked "Are you always this stupid?" you might get in trouble...

Slamm.. i thought u knew me better.. I won't get caught! And i asked why i had to vacuum behind the couch.. but apparently i said it with an attitude.. ooh! Haha Sir I wouldn't dare ask that!
Haha, you're parents are stricked. Well good luck!! Haha. I could picture that!
Oh and i made a face at her.. lol she saw me in the reflection XD
You have to vacume behind the couch because dust and fuzz gets back there. Causes dust mites. Yuck.
Just cause you can't see it does not mean it isn't dirty. Lol
Just giving you an older person's point of view.
My daughter will be 5 on July 25th. She is solely responsible for cleaning both her bedroom and playroom. She puts her dishes in the dishwasher and her clothes in the hamper. Takes her shoes and puts them in her shoe rack when we get home and hangs up her coat and scarf.
Gotta teach them young and then it just becomes habbit when they are older...at least I hope so hahaha.

LH: See, like I said before, you are a really good mom, LH! And, you're correct, it will become a habbit eventually and it also teaches responsibility and respect towards you. I know this because that's exactly what my parents did to me when I was younger and I still have to do it.
Fleetie: Well that explains it

Haha.....I did the same to my mom. Was not until I was 19....moved into my own place, was my usual slob self and found a bug a month later.....life changed faster than I could snap my fingers.
My mom was a clean freak, it was annoying....she would get tired of arguing with me and just do it for me (grounding me was a joke....as I assume with you , hense you have done well with no computer) I ended up learning the hard way.
I am not a freaky clean person but chores must be done. I do not ask....I tell!
We have love but you must respect to love.....I am not mean but she knows I mean business when I say do something. Nowadays it us simple. I say clean your room and she does it. We relax with a book and cookie afterwards

Good to explain it to them LH. When I was raising my nephews my standard answer was (the old parent stand-by) Because I told you to that is why! Must have worked, they are now all in their mid to late teens, all responsible and hard working and *usually* only have to be asked once to do something; though even now I do occasionally resort to threats of bodily harm. Before anyone gets upset over that thought - understand they are 25,17,16 and 15 - all over a foot taller than me and outweigh me by 25-50 lbs - not like I could really hurt them - but it gets my point across and gets them to do what I asked.
You younger folks have to understand no one is asking (or telling) you do do (or not do) something for absolutely no reason. We don't live to make your lives miserable, and often speak from a place of experience.
Ontario students are on March break this week and the 17 year old is here (as is usual during a school break) and though he is being given today off to do whatever he wants - starting tomorrow he will be put to work - most likely painting the living room (including taping and patching) or tearing up carpet from the both stair cases -then sanding and staining them. If he has time he will then be laying hardwood in the living room and ceramic tile in the kitchen. There is no such thing as a vacation or a free lunch at my house! You have to contribute and help out to "earn your keep" .

I'm lucky in that he doesn't really argue when asked to do something. Last time he was here he asked me why he had to do something, I told him "because I let you eat" he responded with "yeah, and you let me breathe" then got on with it.

You two are amazing parents! I argue.. because I know i can get away with pretty much anything
I can't get away with anything. Not even a B in a subject. I was freaking out today because I thought I was going to do bad in this one test, but thank the lord it was a 95%. My mom will actually take my computer and phone and hide them but they forget I have a nook because I never use it so I can go on braingle on that.
I was like that with my marks partly due to my mother but also myself. I took paralegal at a private college here and we had one class that was called vocabulary studies. I got a 99 on one test and made notes on it how stupid I was for having missed the one I did.

Haha, well thats good!! One percent off, only!!
I was literally freaking out thinking I was going to get a bad grade and I was checking the test like crazy until my friend finally just turned it in because I was annoying her It pays off though, because I scored higher than all of the people calling me crazy I'm always like that, because I don't wanna lose my computer and not be able to access braingle.

I was freaking out because I had this one book report. I had like 80 pages left in the book.. and i still had to write it... then the day before it was due came and I had so much to do.
Wait for it..
I got 100% !
So its ok.. stop worrying XD

I must be such a nerd! I was the kid who got home from school (even on a Friday) and went straight upstairs to do my homework. A project would be started the night it was assigned. In our final year of HS we had these projects that were assigned within the first week of class and were not presented until the beginning of the last month of the semester. Once it was given to you and you cleared your idea with the teacher - they never mentioned it again - EVERY class had one - so I 8 of them (4 each semester). With the exception of the 100 page Novelette we had to do for "Writer's Craft" (creative writing) I had them all done at least a month ahead of schedule. While I rocked the written report and got good marks on the visual aides, I don't like getting up in front of people and presenting (especially not when it is a 15 minute lecture).

WOW habs!!! I wait till the last minute usually also. I don't really mind getting in front of the class, I'm not there to impress anyone. But I see if its a 15 minute lecture, Its not fun to get up in front of the class for that one.
HABS - you are making me jealous. i want more students like you!

Are you a teacher Scrub? har it is true we are all individuals and react to things differently. My siblings and I were all raised in the same house by the same parents and while we are all highly successful adults, I couldn't have been more different then them as a teen. They were all tyoical lazy messy teens who partied and experimented with drugs. I was up by 6am even on the weekends my room was emaculate. I have tried any drug or even a cigerette. I took my first drink in university after I was of legal age (19). All my siblings have been arrested as juviniles I have never even been questio I am very particular. Everything has a place. Not only is there a cupboard or dr things beling in, they have a specific place in that drawer. That being being said, I have never imposed this on anyone. If Rich (husband) puts something in wh#t I consider the "wrong" place or he hangs the TP in the wrong direction, I just fix it without saying anything.
One of his favorite things to do is to knock the stuff on the mantle slightly out of alignment (it is all symetical and equadistant) and see how long it takes me to notice (always right away) and how long it takes me to get up and fix it (never more than 5 mins)

And Har I must have done something right by instilling a work ethic into the lad. Not many 17 year olds would turn down a week of snowboarding in Quebec to come lay floors at a relatives home. He knows ahead of time coming to my house means physical labour, but he still ASKS to come for the week. He may actually luck out this week, we won't be able to get the ceramic tile until Friday so he wom't have time to fibish which means I won't even have himc start.I can't live mid project. I

Yes Har, everyone is an individual.
I mentioned above my being a messy teen and having to learn on my own why my mother was the way she was.
I think letting a child be them self is very important but some things in life are not due to a person's individulasim.
And yes two parent homes are very important but at the same time the environment in those homes can be more detramental than the environment in a single parent home. As every situation is different this is not a subject that can easily be lumped together.
Some people do a 180 when a child is born and people change.
Like I said every situation is unique, just like every child is.
Like what you love, and love what you got.

You can instill values, morals and ethics without stepping on individualism. Brsndon however wants to join the military and become an aviation engineer and get his plot's license. No chance to be an individual there. It is all about comformity.

I agree with you, LH.
And sometimes har, some situations are not able to have 2 parents raising the child, not the parents fault.
And sometimes har, some situations are not able to have 2 parents raising the child, not the parents fault.
IT is better (in my opinion) that a child be raised in two separate loving homes where things are peaceful than in a single home with two parents who are at each other's throats all the time.
And what of the case of abuse? Should she stay just so her kids have a father? Suck it up and hide the bruises? What about when he turns his rage on them? What if he is dead? There are lots of reasons there maybe only one parent in the home. And it is not always the mother. I hae two male friends who have sole custody of their children - mama can only see them under supervision not that she ever wants to - gien the choice between crack and kids, crack wins. They are better off without her.

I don't think it is the people in their mid to late 20s who are the problem. IT is the babies having babies he is talking about. How can you possibly raise a child and role model when you are 13? You're barely out of short pants yourself. A grade 8 education and no employable skills. Nice life for a kid!

Are we waiting on the boss? Or the mod? Either way - let's go! If it is the boss I hope this is not indicative of what the game will be like

1:33 PM central time Mar 14....Har posted about the game starting but yet it states we still have the poss of 1 day and 19 hours before the memo needs to be approved?
Is this a 2 day round game?
In one day rounds, the boss has 24 hours and the Mod has 24 hours.
With the game saying one day and 19 hours and that is after almost 24 hours from yesterday afternoon.....something is off.

I don't think it is a 2-day game. I hope not this game moves slow enough as it is. I usually only join games (WTB and WWG included) with 1 day rounds.

if it's a 2 day game with a slow boss and mod...I will join every majority and be on the firing list every round.....

Stewie, you might want to put in appearance here for at least one post so that we know it is not you holding us up.

stewie has been mIA all day. It is no 1830 EDT which makes it almost midnight for Stewie. I am guessing he won't make an apperance before his morning. Which for most of us will be 1-2 AM

Also sad to see that this game has not started yet. Am glad however to see Stewie is back from his 3 day Braingle absence even if he hasn't been able to make an appearance here.
I thought the rule was immunity for your first two games as a birthday boy/girl. Two rounds? People are getting cheap!

I admit, I didn't sent the memo right away, didn't notice I was boss but that only explains about a 10 hr delay. IT may help to know that I most likely would have been found out in the first round anyway -the psych question was "what is your favorite movie". I think most people (or at least enough to convince the rest) would have recognized the answer as me.

So sorry everyone. I reall tried my best to make it back on time. I had to go on an unexpected trip to the hospital, as my nephew fell down the stairs of his home.
I only got back now. I messed up and I want to personally apologise. I will also lie to say I will not be modding a wtb game again, as a result. I have let you all down, therefore letting myself down, and I don''t want it happening again...
Once again, sorry for wasting your time. Stewie.

Stew, you did not let us down!!! I just hope your nephew is ok and I totally understand, things happen like that. Hope to see another game of yours!
I certainly hope you don't abandon modding WTB games just for that. I certainly understand what happened. Hope your nephwew is okay. I also personally would be happy to join future games.
Stew dom't give up. Your games are fun. Sure it was a bummer the game got axed, but life happens and family should come before a game. I'm sure if you had been able to you'd have let us know, or started the game.
