How do we know if we are that person with the ability to revoke a strike?

And apparently the moderator!

Are we going to try for a majority this round? I am open to being cleared. I will vote for SEEK.

I think we should definitely try and get a majority on someone this round, but I don't have any strong suspicions on anyone. I am putting a safety vote for HABS. That is very likely to change.

I will vote with HABS for SEEK.

MOD, if we cannot edit our posts, are multiple posts allowed?

Sorry, nothing to see here folks, keep moving.

Gymboy, it's the person who solved the trivia.

DCF, multiple posts are allowed, up to a reasonable amount.

Don't do anything silly.

Don't SirHar.

EDIT: I am allowed editing, but will not edit one of your posts if it is not already edited.

So far it looks like we have two votes for SEEK and one vote for HABS.

I've been voting HABS from the start, so I think I might stick with it for now.

Looking at the end of last round, it looks like LILLY wasn't sure who she voted for, and FLEETWOOD didn't vote? It would have been nice to know who LILLY voted for, so that we could clear someone. I feel like we haven't been able to clear anyone yet. It would be nice to do so this round.

I don't believe that I voted. If I'm not fired next round, I think I voted SEEKR.

LILY was not even sure if she had voted. I am not sure we can trust that she voted for SEEKR either. I am among those who believe we can never definitively clear someone based on stated votes. We can never be sure that the vote was cast as stated.

If we cannot definitively clear someone based on stated votes, how do we clear someone? In your opinion, how do you consider someone cleared? I'm not being argumentative, but I am curious as to your theories on clearing people.

In this case, I agree that we cannot count on who LILLY thinks she voted for. If she knew, and we could believe her, maybe we could use that information. However, since she is clearly not sure who she voted for, I don't think it helps us at all.

Though I had voted for DCF as safety on my way in, I will change it to SEEK on my way out to help build up the majority. We had no definite clears the first two rounds, so getting a majority should be important by now.

I am going to stick with voting for 4WHEELS. I see no point in voting for myself. I am not the boss, but feel free to clear me.

I am not saying not to use the firing as a base for a clear, just that cannot be our sole reason for clearing a player. People forget for whom they voted, or fortet to vote. Sometimes votes do not save. If multiple people over the course of several rounds vote for the same person and are then fired, we can safely assume the one who received the votes is clear. Other than that you use the fact a person in a 50% majority was not fired to clear them.
We have yet to create a majority on anyone and unless we do, we will never narrow down the suspect pool, and the boss will win the game. We need to keep his list of possible firings as short as possible (I am using the "universal he" and not intending to indicate the gender of the boss).

I am not sure what the SIRHAR reference meant, but I guess I understand...
I just locked in my vote for SEEKR (I had forgotten to do so earlier). Do we have a majority on her?

DCF - SirHar is a regular player in these games who tends to break what could be one post into MANY posts. It is not unusual for him to post 5-6 times in a row.

There are currently 9 people left in the game. We will assume that the rat is among them as we have no proof to the contrary. That means that there are 7 votes that count. To get 50% of 7 votes, we need 4 people to vote together. Since neither the rat nor the boss actually votes, we need 6stated votes for someone to tentatively clear them. Any fewer than that and the boss nd rat could be among those claiming a vote.

I will vote for SEEKER too.

I'm on Braingle far too long, I stay on the computer from dusk to dawn. Playing games and chatting with friends, the novelity of it never ends.

Wow, I nearly missed the entire round!
My Fiancee and I were checking out a potential wedding venue.
I really liked it but she didn't so naturally it has been ruled out as an option.

I'll put a safety vote on GYMBOY.

on a side note: wedding planning isn't as much fun as I thought it would be

^AAAAAH! Jayo! That missing capital letter was the sole stain in a so-far perfect round! Womp.
if you see this, pm me "strike" for a free strike removal. this can be done by two different people.
Our round is closing, so get your votes in!

EDIT: I'm surprised nobody has given me the secret message yet.

EDIT II: I am SO sorry, HABS. You forgot a space in your last message, "Since neither the rat nor the boss actually votes, we need 6stated votes for someone to tentatively clear them." you have gained a third strike. Oh, and you spelled "and", "nd".

EDIT III: Oooooooh, next round's rule is a doozy. Not a single one of you will enjoy it.
