Here we go!

Optional Alternate Psych Question for General Discussion:
If you had a time machine that could bring someone from the past or future to our time, who would you choose? Feel free to be general or specific.

Couldn't get much of a clue from the memo except that the two exclamation marks probably rule out Gizzer.

Since the boss wants to go to Ancient Greece, he or she is most likely a Westerner.

Fish vote for kmr for now.

I would choose to bring someone like Laura Ingalls Wilder to my time. I am gonna vote randomly for Jeminy.

interesting memo. I can see that as being a cool place to go. I would probably go to colonial america.

Quite a hard optional question I'll have to think about that.

I'll fish for asteriod but I may change it depending on the round

I'd probably bring the first person to make lead into gold.

Random vote for Gizzer

I'm thinking male for the Boss. Visiting ancient times is very different than living there, and I don't know many women who want to live in ancient times where there would be a lot of hard work and none of the freedom we have today.

I notice that the Boss didn't say they wanted to live in ancient Greece itself, but at the time when Greece was the world power.

My vote goes to JQPublic.

Edit: Vote confirmed

I don't need a time machine. I'll just wait until the resurrection, and then I'll be able to talk to all the people from the past that I want!

I think it would be neat to talk to a descendant of mine a few generations down the line.

If I could bring someone to our time I would bring George Washington. I would want to see his reaction to america today.
On a side note: I dont know if any of you are Dr Who fans but the episode where the Doctor and Amy bring Vincent Van Gogh to a modern art gallery is one of the most touching and awesome Dr Who moments ever!

I would go back to the Roman Empire, because I want to know how life was back then.

Fish vote for Jeminy.

lillyPad7891 --> seekrgrl
seekrgrl --> mocha613
mocha613 --> bababawhomp
bababawhomp --> Gizzer
Gizzer --> JQPublic
JQPublic --> jeminy
kmrutledge --> jeminy
buu441 --> jeminy

jeminy --> asteroidbelt
asteroidbelt --> jeminy

I don't know if people wanted to be in a majority this round or not, but it looks like we have one. Also, jeminy and asteroidbelt, you are in a small loop. You might want to change a vote. I might think asteroidbelt might want to change off jeminy, and that would fix it.

I went ahead and added my vote as well, I'm voting for bababawhomp.

I would like to add that I would like to bend the rules of the question, I would like to bring my Grandma from 10 years ago back. She has always lived in the same city I live in, but, while I spent time with her, I never really got to know her. Now that she has Alzheimers and I go to visit her once a week, I am learning so much about her childhood, she has lived such an interesting life. But everything lacks so much clarity. I just realized yesterday that I no longer share any memories with my grandma, and that really hit me. I wish I had taken the chance to sit down and really talk with her before she started to change.

For the actual psych question, I would love to have lived in the victorian age, right around the turn of the century. Preferably in the house I grew up in. I love the idea of calling cards and such, it seems so quaint.

Just because no one else is voting for her, I'll vote for seekr.

I would probably want to just travel like eight or nine years into the past, in the US, just to observe technology and culture. It would make a fun research project!

Switching to jeminy for a majority.

I'd bring Zhuge Liang to the present. The world badly needs another genius like him.

Edit: @Gizzer: I see, but I think the boss had Ancient Greece in mind - not that it really counted as a world power.

Now that the voting for Round 1 has ended, I need to let you know about the next memo. If the boss sends it out in time, I will need to approve about 2 hours earlier than I thought. I have a concert tonigt that I ned to get to. If the boss doesn't have the memo ready, I will plan on approving it tomorrow morning (7 a.m. my time).

Wow, boss.

Edit: I have suspicions on lillyPad for being the rat. Why would she just vote for seekrgirl instead of joining in on the majority?

Good point, asteroid, though I don't see why the rat (or boss) would not vote for the majority. Besides, she's fairly new, so she might be confusing WTB and TWG stuff.

I'd just rather not be a Lemming the first round. I usually don't vote for the majority at the start of a game. I can help clear someone next round.
