I'm starting the round now in case I forget to do so in the morning. Boss clue will be up sometime later this round.

Goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite! (Because there are literally thousands... and by the way, there might be something in your closet.)

Anyone else reeeeeally like Despicable Me?

EDIT: Boss clue is as follows.

Al, Bob, and Carl each bought some candies. Al gave half of his candies to Bob. Carl gave two candies to Bob. Bob then divided his candies, including the ones Al and Carl gave him, into four equal piles. He kept two piles for himself and gave Al and Carl one pile each. At this point, all three had six candies each. How many candies did each man buy?

Hans and Edward are driving toward each other on a perfectly linear road, Hans at 20 m/s, Edward at 25 m/s. When they are 2 km apart, Hans releases his dog, Brutus, who runs toward Edward at 40 m/s (he's really fast). Upon reaching Edward, Brutus immediately turns around and runs back toward Hans, and then toward Edward, and then toward Hans, etc. When Brutus reaches Edward the second time, Edward releases his parrot, Rudolph, who waits two seconds and then flies toward Hans at 50 m/s (he's really fast). When Rudolph reaches Hans, how far apart are Hans and Edward?

John is going home after a long day's work. He passes on his left a drugstore, a Korean restaurant, and a play structure. He passes on his right a park, an electronics shop, and a(n) _____.

What is the square root of forever?

Elden and Paul are dueling. What weapon does each man use? If the clock strikes eleven immediately before the duel begins, who dies first?

I am voting for freakshow07 since I think he's the best bet for boss right now in my opinion, based on the previous memos!

I'll wait for the boss clue to do anything more!

Personally I think Elios could be boss, not too sure. I'll vote Elios for now and check back later.

Morning everyone.

Looks like tuku is pretty much cleared. Putting in a temp vote for Yuffie.

Yup, tuku looks cleared.

Safety for GA for now. Will check back later. (It's 6 am my time...)

I'd like to join the majority for Freakshow07 . I've not played too many (any?) games with him, but re-reading previous rounds and such, I can see how he'd fit with what we've come up with the boss's description as (well really just an American Male but it's something LOL) although I still think GA shouldn't be counted out, what with having to cross overseas to get to Europe as well. If anyone else has a better suspicion, I'm willing to switch my vote.

I'm apparently too stupid to use the cipher codes on Braingle as I can't figure out what the Boss' answer is, but once again I'm at work so I can't spend much time on it atm anyway. I'll be back on - maybe I can finally be useful for a clue.

I don't play with many of you regularly, and, as this is my first game for a long time, I have no idea who the memos fit. However, in the interest of clearing someone this round, I will also log in a vote for Freakshow.

Switching my vote to GA. I have seen him use the Memo to throw people off in the past, and the overseas bit seems like something he would use to do so.

Is that our clue..? "Despicable Me" was Ok the first time I saw it, but the second time it really grew on me. Looking forward to the second one!

Did the Boss finish his/her Memo? Looks like it got cut off. I haven't tried to figure out the Psych yet. I will wait for our Boss clue before hopping on a majority. I have played plenty of games with Freak & GA before, but shall I reiterate how completely useless I am at deciphering Psych answers? (Not to mention how I was usually fired early on in most Krackahs games; didn't get much experience. )

I'll safety for Cab right now purely as a way to stay out of a majority. That'll change later.

Cripes, you must have started the round just about the time I was signing off Shadows. I thought I saw something about a notice, but my eyes were slowly closing and I was so tired I wouldn't have done anything about it anyway.

Not sure where my vote will wind up, just a safety vote for now for Yuffie.

I want to study that boss clue a bit... if for no other reason than its interesting looking.

Al 6 Bob 7 and Carl 5

Can't really do #2, never really got the meter/km conversion down... though I sort of recall this type in reg miles...

I sort of think you really don't want to give us any info Shadows...

Logging on to check in - I spent 1/2hr trying my darndest & failing at the clue, although I do see how RGW4 got the first part (the only part I could actually do!) I know I learned how to do the Hans/Edward math question but it's been so long (& I'm not used to working with meters) that I have absolutely no idea. The other three are riddles, which I suck at, so once again I am of no help (surprise, surprise ).

Leaving my vote where it is & going to bed (after I stare at those riddles a little more LOL).

Edit to add thoughts:

Okay, the Square Root of Forever is forever because "forever" as a measurement would equal "infinity" and since infinity is, well, infinite, the square root of itself would still be infinity . (As based on "On Numbers and Games" by John Conway).

1000 m = 1 km

You don't really need to know that, though. Or solve the problem, for that matter... But that's the last thing I'm going to say about the clue, or else the Boss wouldn't be too happy.

Keep on keeping on. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Third time's the charm. Etc.

Gosh, I'm tired. Played my last high school jazz concert tonight and went out with a bunch of people after. It was a great night, but I'm so dead right now. Sleeeeeeep. Goodnight!

I figured out our boss is actually just the first letter of each clue... so all we have to do now is figure out who is AHJWE!!!!!

I have spent a good twenty-thirty minutes on the second part of the clue, and I cannot figure it out. (This is mostly because I hate the rates and times part of Algebra.)

I was also thinking about the first letter of each clue, but it seems as though that will be of no help.

However, I think this is meant to be a useful clue:

Live fast, die young, make a pretty corpse.
You never know the worth of water until the well is dry.
Things don't matter: people do.

I think the most important line in this is the implication that the people matter above all else. So I went back to the clue and looked at the names. And I found no connection.

But, then again, I could be reading into things and be completely wrong.

The clues are giving me a headache. xP It's like I can almost find a starting point, but there's something off. For example, "John ... passes on his left... a Korean restaurant. He passes on his right a park..." - Park is a common Korean last name! But wait, the park is across from the drugstore, not the restaurant. Frustration!

I did find Al, Bob, and Carl though. Seems they've moved up in the world since candies.

Shady's comments have seemed somehow non sequitur-ish this whole round, and I'm paranoid that everything she's written is somehow a clue to the clue.

J-Boy... GA is right... I know the first letter of some notes do spell out things, but those letters I wrote mean absolutely nothing as they stand. It is just a little humor I threw out because I had spent some time trying to decipher the clues.
