OK let's get this round Rolling. The story will come kater in the day, as I am in college at the moment.
Good luck and break a leg... *Not literally*
"Update. I have had a horrible earache all day and I;m really tired as I did not sleep much last night. As a result I just can't seem to concentrate. concentrate enough to even think of adding to the story. I will get back to it ASAP. But for now I would not hold my breath. Sorry. I'm not up to the task right now."
I will try to have something by the end of the round, but I am not making promises. Apologies once again to those who were looking forward to it, But RL comes first.
Stewie.

Oh mocha! i cant believe you got fired. x
From last round:
Provided mocha wasn't the rat, then jboy is cleared. (Mocha purposely did not hack the network in the game I recently modded to clear shaidar, so I know she is capable of this, two games in a row might be a bit of a far cry though.)
As far as we know, limerick did not vote. But he is still here! Also he didnt post a vote in round 1 on time. So is he the boss or rat!?!?!?
As expected, 4wheels and Shaidar were probably mandatory fired.
So, I think I should still be voting away from the majority again. Though not sure how many more rounds I should be keeping myself 100% safe. Considering limerick was not fired, I really think he has to be boss or rat. It's the only logical explanation. If he was the rat and forgot to hack the network then he would have been on the firing list. So either he voted, hacked the network or is boss. The boss also mentioned shadows as not voting the way she said. Does that mean not on the firing list despite stating the vote for jboy. If that's the case then mocha and kmrutledge had to be employees for the jboy majority. I can't imagine shadows to be boss. She'd just have brought too much suspicion on herself, so maybe the boss thinks shadow is his rat??
For now I will vote for kmrutledge, I think that limerick may be boss and shadow is his rat.
From last round:
Skybet --> mocha
mocha613 --> jboy
J-Boy --> kmrutledge
kmrutledge --> jboy
RGW4 --> shadows
Shadows --> jboy
jervis --> shaidar
shaidar9haran -->
froggygg --> 4wheels

I am off to the jobsite in just a few... so for now, just a safety vote for froggy. - vote confirmed
The boss in his/her optional comments sort of yelled at Limerick and Shadows to declare their vote... making me think that Shadows was not on the firing list for voting for Jboy and that Limerick voted but did not disclose... although Jervis, your point is well taken that this could just be the way the boss is trying to get us to think this way. The only other situation not discussed is kmr... who also escaped being fired.
Fact remains, only three employees could be fired, and it does appear two were mandatory and Limerick easily could be either the boss or the rat.

Yeah I have been trying to think of the most likely scenario. Ie if mocha = rat, then Jboy = boss. I realise now that it could be the other way with the bosses comment on shadows.
Mocha was fired, if shadows voted for someone other than jboy it would clear kmr (2 votes was still a majority).
But if shadows did vote jboy (still 2 vote majority), (with kmr as boss instead) kmr could say shadows didnt vote the way she said so it looks like we could clear kmr and that also puts suspicion on shadows. I hope that makes sense. After midnight here lol
I don't think I'm helping any with these thoughts. I have a few others but I'm still concerned about Limerick. If you want me to shift off kmr, I can do that with a good 8 hours leeway. Hitting the sack now though. G'Night all, morning North Americans, evening Jboy.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking Jervis! It looks like I have been cleared but I'm actually quite convinced limerick is the boss so I will vote there now. Voting Limerick

The memo I find confusing and not very helpful; there are just too many possibilities. The Boss isn't even required to tell the truth in the memo anyway. The psych answer is interesting, though. What did the Rat do to become the Boss's biggest threat? The only plausible explanation I can think of is if Limerick is the Rat, and the Boss is referring to his seeming immunity (not voting and not getting fired).
Or maybe the Rat isn't here anymore, and the Boss is lamenting his Rat-lessness, although that sounds rather farfetched.
By the way, I'm not Limerick's Rat. Or anyone's Rat. Or the Boss, for that matter.
I don't want to vote for Limerick because it would kind of be like falling into the Boss's trap. I remember one game I played in a long time ago where every round's memo was, "Vote for ____." Many people voted according to the Boss's instructions and wasted a whole bunch of rounds doing so. That's why I'm going to disregard the memo and vote for whomever I believe the Boss to be.
Hmm... Skybet has been flying under the radar. Voting for Skybet for now.
EDIT: vote confirmed

Although there has been some levity to the rules by mods, it is up to the mod to state these rule changes clearly at the start of the game. Technically Shadows you are in violation of the rule:
"Players may only discuss who they will vote for during the current round. Once the voting deadline passes, players may not say who they voted for or whether they voted for who they said they would vote for."
But regardless of whether you change your comment or not, it has been stated. As a player, all you have to do is go back to last round and look at the voting page... it tells you who you voted for. At least you would know.
And yeah, it sure would be foolish to read into the boss's note and vote for whom he/she said to vote for.
"My biggest threat is my rat". Wow... I didn't think about this earlier. It has to be an honest answer from the boss, so what makes a rat a threat? Not doing what you want or need. Doing it at the wrong time?
I sort of like your explanation Jervis... if Mocha was the rat and failed to hack the system... voting for Jboy; then yes Jboy is the boss. My only concern is the timing... If 4wheels and shairdar missed the voting round and were mandatories... the boss could only fire one other anyway, so only one who voted for Jboy would have been fired...regardless of whether he is the boss or not... so, as boss, let's see if I can get some confusion going with the vote in my memo to the players in which I can lie as much as I want to.
I have a strange feeling that I am about to enter the twilight zone.
I am voting for Jboy... safety vote, yes... but the gut feeling is telling me differently. Edit - confirmed vote on Jboy.

I keep going over and over all the posts as well as the Boss message and I still can't figure out who to vote for. Mocha stated a vote for J-Boy as did kmrutledge and Shady. Only Mocha was fired and the boss "implied" that Shady did not vote the way she stated. The memo also implies that Limerick did not vote or didn't say who he voted for. I think it is more that no stated vote was made.
I think 4Wheels and Shaidar were mandatory fires leaving only 1 fire left. So, is J-Boy really cleared? I don't think Shady or Limerick are the Boss because they would not have put themself in the memo bringing attention to him/her.
So, what does this mean? It means that I have no idea who to vote for at this point!!! That said, I'm going to go ahead and vote for kmrutledge.
EDIT: I just saw the voting list and see that jervis (cleared) also voted for kmrutledge but did indicate that he would change his vote if at least 8 hours left in the voting round. I will still vote for kmrutledge but I will check back before the round is over in case jervis has not changed his vote and he is cleared and should not be in a majority.
Right now there are over 10 hours left in the round...

If I make it before the end of the round in the morning I will formulate a better post.

Remember froggy I am cleared, try not putting me in a majority. I will switch my vote to froggy now for safety.
Also. With the mocha firing, she definitely confirmed her vote so not a mandatory. If she was rat, then jboy or anyone else could be boss. But if she were rat then I'd say 99% jboy is boss. However if she was a lemming which is more likely, she had to be in a majority vote for jboy which would clear jboy and at least 1 of the others who voted for jboy, if not both. Otherwise there would not have been a majority in the first place.
Mocha=employee (lemming) - most likely
Then kmrutledge and/or shadows = employee (lemmings) And jboy is not boss.
Mocha=rat (dirty dirty) - least likely
Then jboy = boss
Shoot. Finally - mocha=employee, kmr&shadows = boss/rat combination. There were no other majorities and we were all lemmings. Fired mocha to clear themself? Therefore jboy is not boss. BUT I would have been fired as I was already cleared. Unless I did vote for the boss! Looking at table from last round you can assume who I voted for. Man that's complicated.
I am too thorough for my own good! Brain hurts need a rest!!

Oh dear. Looks like j-boy, RGW and/or I will be fired if we go in with a MoO situation. Looking at the table it would be likely be 2 of us and the other player remains cleared. (Am I right that with 8 players the boss only fires 2 people? Or is it still 3?)
Not ideal but we will still have one clear unless we can get a majority of 3 players to ensure another 1 or 2 clears. Limerick, Skybet, shadows, kmrutledge?
Edit: corrected jpost to jboy. I played so much with jpost when I was here a few years back that I autopilot his name.

Ya know Jervis... I feel confident you are not the boss... but man, could you easily be the rat confusing everyone! Of course if that is the case, I might be helping you not only clear yourself but help you win the game with the boss.
I do think you are correct, with 8 players, I think only 2 can be on the firing list.
At this point in the game a Mo0 vote is indeed a dumb way for players to play... regardless of who is left in the game. We do have a few players who are not as active as "employees" should be... I expect an over abundance of action from the rat, but minimal from the boss trying to be on the sidelines. We have one cleared player, and (sorry Jervis) part of me is not quite sure he is not our rat.
The problem in my way of thinking is that if the rat is here, they are not doing a good job of getting a majority away from the boss... though the rat may be happy with a Mo0 vote... and the players seem to not be willing to join in any majority for whatever reason.
I will join any majority vote, even make one. I may put someone in a majority vote... I know a Mo0 vote at this point is about the dumbest thing the employees can do. I will check in later and I may change my vote just to make sure we have some sort of a majority...using my best guess - even though I really think I currently have my best guess going.
Sitting on the sidelines busy with real life is understandable, but then don't sign up for the games... they only last a week to 10 days ... seems easy enough to do - and I definately have a busy life, But when things are really busy, I just do not sign up. We haven't heard from Limerick in a couple rounds, boss/rat or whatever, it is not cool. Ok, I have vented... single posts per round do not make for a game.

See, I'd be willing to join a majority; the hard part is starting one. For whom should we vote? Pretty much everyone could be the Boss, except for jervis, and he could very well be the Rat...
I'd join your vote for J-Boy, Randy, but I'm worried no one else will jump on the bandwagon. Instead, I will vote for froggy on the basis that she was the one who pointed out the "Lol" thing. Things like that are much easier to notice when you put them there yourself. It's pretty thin evidence -- heck, it's next to nothing -- but it's better than a MoO.

Ok, so I agree with the reasoning above. The only thing is that I'm not boss or the rat for that matter and I really don't lie straight to people's "faces".
I don't think the boss is RGW4. Rat maybe.
For some reason Skybet is popping out to me. He just seems unusually quiet.
I really don't know where to vote at the moment.
Fear is only as deep as the mind allows!

Yeah, really, I don't blame you for being upset with me for being inactive. I wish I could really even use the excuse that I have been busy. Timing of rounds has been awful, but even that isn't all of it. I am generally here for the start of the round, but don't tend to get on Braingle before work. And then my 10 hour shift has been ending right around the time for the round ending... mochs had to keep reminding me to even get a vote in.... Still, I honestly really have no good excuse.. Sorry guys, I will be fully active from here on out and also will be posting a further post or maybe a couple really going over my read so far this game as I don't really have one as of yet.
I'll be online again in an hour. Majority on Skybet or froggy? Both seem equally likely to me right now, so I'll join whichever one.

Yet... you slip by the entire process and are still here. Boss? Rat? Help us out a bit. In passed games with you, you were always active... so yeah, I have been leaning towards a boss who is trying to stay under the radar, but I think you are a bit under the radar. I also agree that I have been busy... so the few moments I do have, has to be a bit on instinct.
Vote changed to Froggy. I did vote Limerick, but realized that sounded too ratish. If you ask for a commitment and sort of get one... stick to it. Froggy could easily be the boss... Limerick her rat. Yes, this is confirmed.

In saying that, if you want to do an analysis of who the boss would be if I was rat, I'd be happy to see it. If I was rat, others can double check to make sure you're not the boss covering up for yourself.
I actually realised I pretty much repeated what I'd said last night before going to bed (I'm 14 hrs in front of most North Americans). Nothing new except while I was typing I realised a 3rd possibility with a kmr/shadows boss/rat situation. It hadn't occurred to me up to that point. I hate to miss the possibilities however remote. I'd say 95% chance that mocha was employee and J-Boy is cleared. However, the other options need to be revisited if we come across something weird.
For the record I am mostly suspect on Limerick and kmrutledge. Depending on what happens this round, I may have to commit myself to one of those.

Yeah I know. Sorry, I try not to be confusing, I just get into the head space and start analysing. It gets me shot or eaten quite a lot in werewolf games coz I frighten the pants off the wolves, though I can never actually pick 'em!

Limerick, please tell us your vote!
I feel like Limerick is so obviously the Boss that he can't possibly be the Boss. I can't imagine a Boss who consistently does not state a vote. Then again, according to his game scores page, he has only played six WTBs so far, so we could be dealing with a first-time Boss here. But even a rookie Boss would catch on eventually... I don't get it.
We have a majority; jervis is protected. All is well in the land of scary-killer-Stewie. Goodnight!

I did not place a vote earlier as I was still analysing it. I am not sure I buy froggy, first of all, I think she probably does a fair bit of reading, I just read that from her. Also, her braingle profile lists reading as an interest. COnclusive, no, but, still, I don't buy it. kmr, Shadows, and Skybet all list reading. Now again, could they have stopped reading, yes, but, I am not necessarily convinced that they match the profile involved here.
Though looking further through the posts and prompts.... I find it interesting that mochs was referred to as mocha613 in full rather than mocha or mochs as most of us call her. Not Shady either... Unfortunately the closest I find of this is KMR's indication of voting for RGW4, rather than just RGW, but then, a lot of people use exact names in votes. kmr avoiding both firings although quite possibly coincidence is interesting enough that he will get my vote.
Vote locked for kmr

Jeez kmr! 😂 I'm sure it was an honest mistake. The same as when Jervis calls me jpost

Ah sorry mate. I need to be diligent !! I think I'll try to put the hyphen in and that'll stop me from doing it. I'm on my phone still so I try to take shortcuts. Only twice this round though, corrected
I did it the whole round 3. You are a gentleman J-boy. Thankyou for not rubbing it in. I am such a Wally!

Darn, I was waiting to see when you would notice that he's not jpost.
Hahaha. It's not a serious thing. I'm sure everyone here knew exactly who he was referring to.
