Welcome to a not-so-cheerful day at work!
The head accountant thought something seemed fishy about the latest numbers, and an unannounced audit was conducted last night! Over 10 million dollars (or currency of your choice) are mysteriously unaccounted for, and all the employees are being brought in for individual questioning today. There is an atmosphere of extreme nervousness, both of the interrogation and from fear of the company going bankrupt, and not even news of the upcoming holiday party is enough to lift spirits today.

Going on the assumption everyone has done as they have said:
Brandon is cleared with Snowy firing
Giz is cleared with Had firing
PPjones is cleared because I know first hand he is......
Coin flip between Mocha and D?
I will keep my vote the same.
double checked

The reason Gumby isn't smiling is because Deb is keeping him captive against his will.

I'm still not convinced you are clear, ppjones. I'm sure you'll understand.
We have 2 rounds left (assuming the Rat is still in the game), and three suspects.
I have an idea for splitting the votes to try to clear 2 players this round. It's risky, especially for bobbi and me.
Or we could get 4 players to vote for one suspect. At this point, only one person can be fired, and the survivors have a 50-50 chance of catching the Boss next round.
Thoughts?

I'm not convinced that ppjones is cleared either. I'm also suspicious of mocha, so I'm torn. I think I'll vote mocha, and if we can make a good majority on her, I'd have no problem with that.

I've kinda written ppjones out in my head... I suppose he hasn't actually been cleared yet, but I'm not convinced it is him due to the answers on the psychs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but either dfamina or myself need to be either the rat or the boss (or both, I suppose). As such, I am going to vote for dfamina since I know I am not the boss. If people want to try to make a majority on me, though, that is fine.
Giz, what is your idea for clearing 2 at once?
Edit to add: I know Hadleigh was able to get here before the end, but I can't help but wonder if there might be a chance she thought she voted and didn't, or that it might not have lodged her vote in the system... perhaps Giz is not 100% cleared?

It looks like this round is going to be fruitless with one non-voter. I'm not quite sure why she's so upset, what with suspicion being the name of the game and all. At any rate, I think Giz is more likely cleared than not, but mocha may also be right. Aside from Hadleigh, the only other folks who have been voting Giz - mocha and myself - are still in the game. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but Hadleigh could have been the Rat, couldn't she? With Had -not- voting Giz, she hasn't actually been in real danger of being fired, and Giz didn't seem upset until this round - right when Hadleigh got fired. (I know the Rat could have been fired earlier for Giz receiving more than 25% of the votes, but I think it would make sense to keep the Rat around longer than just a round or two, unless they're inactive.)
Forgive me for the names getting repetitive, but using "she" over and over wouldn't have been very clear. I may be trying too hard to incriminate Gizzer here, but so far, she's the only thing that's been consistent. The fact that only one of her voters this entire game have been fired, and that only just happened now stands out to me. I'm willing to accept the title of "Dolt" if I'm wrong.
Voting Gizzer.

Woah Giz... I didn't mean to upset you! I just wanted to point out all my thoughts. Notice I'm not even voting for you.

It's been awhile since I have vetted these rules with others, but:
Mocha in your scenario, Giz is the boss and Had is the rat, which leaves 4 real votes, Giz would have 50% of them. You need at least 50% to fire the boss. So wouldn't she be fired if she was indeed the boss?
The reason Gumby isn't smiling is because Deb is keeping him captive against his will.

I thought it had to be over 50% for the Boss to be fired. (After checking) In the rules, it says "More than 50%". Also, if Hadleigh -was- the Rat, then Giz didn't have 50% at any point, since Had wouldn't actually be voting. (Unless I missed something.)

You might be right, ppjones... I don't remember, does it have to be "more than 50%", or does 50% suffice?
If Hadleigh didn't get a vote in, the results are actually:
bradon182001 --> mocha
ppjones --> dfamina
dfamina --> Giz
mocha613 --> Giz
Hadleigh -->
Gizzer -->
That means, if the rat is still here, there were 3 real votes. If the rat is not here, there are 4 (assuming Hadleigh didn't get a vote in). Lets assume Giz is the boss for this thought process. That means there were 2 votes for Giz and 2 non votes for Giz. IF bradon or ppjones is the rat, Giz had 2 votes out of 3, which would have fired her. IF mocha or dfamina were the rat, Giz would have 1 vote out of 3. And if hadleigh was the rat, Giz would have 2 votes out of 4 which is where the interpretation of "more than 50%" comes in to play... my math side of me says 50% is not more than 50%. And, if the rat is not here, there were really 2 votes for Giz out of 4, which again raises the same question.
This all assumes of course that Giz is the boss and Hadleigh did not get a vote in.
All of that to say, I'm still not sold on Giz one way or another, and I think I will leave my vote where it is. If Giz really does not vote this round, it is a wasted round... unless we use it to get a more than 50% majority somewhere else to clear someone.

Firings
Firing the Boss:The Boss must receive more than 50% of the votes to be fired. The players who voted for the Boss in that round will be declared winners of the game.
Winning
Employees Win the Game: This happens when the Boss receives at least 50% of the votes. All employees who voted for the Boss that round are declared the winners of the game.
I think this is why it was always confusing, I am having trouble seperating the two statements.

Good call, ppjones... anyone have experience with this? I feel it comes up about once every few games.

See, this is why I asked you guys to make a clear majority for me last round.
I could tell you if 2/4 is sufficient, but would you believe me if I said it was? That would be self-serving, wouldn't it?
Edit: I voted, unless I didn't have to!
