Ok...although I think I know the answer to my next question...but I think its worth making public so we can all get started together...
You say this is a rebus. This should not be confused as being a rebus within the Brain teasers...but once solved, its within your wiki as a word/statement?

These are original challenges, and you will not find the answers by searching the teasers.

A comment about alliances:
I expect to hear from each member of the alliance for each challenge.
If a member of an alliance would prefer not to be given the answer to a given challenge - so they can work it out themselves later - then they should confirm that they are still in the alliance and have received the next challenge from the teammate who solved the challenge.

That depends. You can help someone who is behind you, and that is not really an alliance. If you agree to work together, so that if one player solves a challenge, they agree to share the answer and the check-in time, then that is a true alliance.

I think we are all going to walk through this game a bit slower than usual as it is quite different than any boss game we have played.
Its quite confusing trying to solve these puzzles...what may seem simple gets blown away when you try to read too much into them. We should all thank Gizzer for this unique and fun game!

Probably to ensure that the votes were spread around, and that there wasn't an accidental majority for the Boss (or at least enough of a majority to out the Rat to the Boss).

Yes, that's why. Plus, by telling you who to vote for, you can focus on the challenges instead of strategy.
OK, it took me about half an hour to get through my PM's this morning, but people are making progress, so that's good.

Hey Gizzer, can I form an alliance with you? Maybe no one will catch on  You really are the best puzzle solver!
Ok - you did talk about clues. Are these going to be specific to the person asking (i.e. - PM you that I am stumped on clue 254 or just post it on the current round so everyone knows how far along I have gotten so far?)
I hope everyone is now pretty much scared that I am so far ahead!

Pretty much. If you form an alliance, both/all parties should send me a PM agreeing to the alliance, and all answers should include all names of the alliance. (One alliance has given themselves a name to simplify this - which is a great idea.)

I'm still in round 0 - and Smeraldina & Wolverine are on clue 1015 (you didn't say Smeraldina where you were, but figured you are probably ahead of me by two times or so...!) and Wolverine...I think saying you were just joking was probably not necessary!

Very sad indeed. But I love the word thwart.
The problem with hints is being fair with them. Different people have been "struggling" with different challenges for different amounts of time. I believe everyone should make an "honest" effort to solve a challenge themselves. Some people have been forthcoming (by PM) with what they have tried; others have been silent, so I don't have any idea what kind of help they need.
To try to be as fair as possible, I will provide hints, if requested, once a player/alliance has had a day to work on a challenge. I will use the check-in time for the previous challenge as the starting point. That means that a few people will get a hint now. Others will need to wait a bit.
I will repeat one piece of advice: if you think you have the answer, but you can't make it work, tell me. It may be as simple as spelling or formatting.
