good one, but couldn't 1 be an answer too.
1 doesn't work -- it is not the same when you mutiply it (it just makes whatever you multiply it by the same)
You gave the answer away in the title.......
i got it...yay
i knew it!!!!!! but uh...why'd ya put the answer in da tiitle? mhhhhmmmmmm....well, time for stupid randomness....bacon. bacon is crunchy. i mean, how could you be sad, when there is bacon to be crunch!!???!!! i dont speak monkey.....by da way, whats crack-a-lacken?
yes, i am kinda WWWOOO!
yes, i am kinda WWWOOO!
hate to be a know all and spoil your little teaser but 1 isn't a prime number! because it is divisible by itself and 1 but itself is 1...so is only divisible by 1 number, whereas prime numbers need to be divisible by 2 numbers. thereself AND 1. not thereself and thereself. that was awfully explained...sorry. maybe someone can give me a hand????
ya look in your math book and if u r i n 6th grade one is consitterd bolth (go figgure why) I don't make the rules I just follow them
This is the easiest teaser I,ve seen In a long time
this is the easiest teaser I have ever seen in my live, but still a good one.
Your 6 grade book is soooo wrong. 1 definately is not a prime number. I'll try to explain it a little better. (TRY) A prime number is a number that is only divisible by one AND (meaning another number in addition to one) itself. 1 can't be a prime number, it's only divisible by itself. 1 and 1 (sarcastically => 1=1) I tried hope I did a better job. Maybe not.
Hate to disagree, but one is a prime number.A composite number is whe the number has factors besdes 1 and itself.(Ex:4 is composite because it has 2 as a factor along with 1 and 4.) 1 would be prim because it's only factor is 1,which is both 1 and the number itself.
*prime
Well, DuH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel stupider after solving that riddle.
good one
One is most definitely not prime. The riddle only indicates that the answer is non-negative, and lower than the lowest prime. This allows, for whole numbers, only 0 and 1. It could be one, depending on how you interpret "always the same" in the riddle.
easiest one i did today
0 is lower than both 1 and 2, so it really doesn't matter whether or not 1 is prime.
It's a bit too easy if you just include the answer in your title
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser. I got this one very quickly.
