Detective Sing was out to dinner with one of his friends, Johnny.
"Check it out, Dan," Johnny said. "It's a franchise for a traditional Australian bakery - everything that we make is based on traditional colonial recipes! It's going to be a hit! We're not even going to make bread, just damper. Even better, the guy I'm buying it from can get me a great deal on the main ingredients for the damper, flour and milk! How can it go wrong?"
"It sounds like a great idea, Johnny," said Detective Sing "But he's lying when he says he's making the food the traditional way."

:D Great one. I missed it but will do some homework and learn more about damper. :D I'll even try to make some and see if I think his bakery would have been a go in my neighborhood.

I got that one realatively easily, but that's only because you made the ingredients stand out a little too much in the context of the riddle. It's a good one though. :D

We bake it in a camp oven now but the real swaggies buried it in the ashes of the fire. Nice to give these boards a bit of international flavour(sic).
