Gasoline Spill
There is a valley in the middle of Minnesota called Eden Valley. There is a town right in the middle, and on both sides are hills. The town is extremely small, though, and the town uses one well system that extends to all town residents, no further. On one of the hills, there is a small farm a few miles away from town. This farm also uses its very own well. On the hill opposite of the farm, a semi with a load of gasoline crashes, and the gasoline leaks out by the gallons into the ground water supply. The town was forced not to use water for months, but the farm on the other hill never had to stop using their water. How come?
