What would you say is the next entry in this series?

2525, 3535, 4545, 5555, 6565, ...

It looks like the next entry SHOULD be 7575, doesn't it? Just add 1010, right?

Well, the next entry WOULD be 7575 - if this were a mathematical series. But that wouldn't be much of a challenge, would it?

The next entry is actually less than 7575, because this is not about arithmetic, and the pattern changes after 6565.

I only know this because we had a question regarding the song in 1 vs 100 recently and the first number 2525 caught my eye immediately. A little more study and it hit me. Well done, Giz. Thanks for posting.

Great teaser. The 2525 caught my eye... beings I sing that song all the time. I didn't put two and two together until you stated it was not a math problem - and so so I went back and looked again at the numbers. Love your teasers!
