Answer
The median of five numbers can be found by putting the numbers in increasing order and picking the middle, or third, number from the list. Putting the four numbers you know in increasing order produces the following list:399, 456, 508, 550
As the median is 456, it has to be the middle number of the list of five. That being said, the highest possible attendance of the list given, and the answer to this teaser is, 455.
