The Tricky Pope
|Fun:|| (2.37) |
|Difficulty:|| (2.27) |
In September 1276, an Abbot came to see the new Pope, John XXI, claiming that he had a papal bull, stating that his abbey was to be given vast territories.
While reading the bull to the new Pope, the Abbot stated that it had been given to him personally by John XX.
The Pope had the Abbot taken out and removed him from his office.
Hint:It is NOT because John XX was already dead long before the Abbot could have been born.

|Sorry for the foul language above. I wonder if he kisses his momma with that mouth. Good teaser. I was right on with the answer, but it was just by guessing that there was not that numbered man. :)|

|I completely agree with you on this one grayma... such language is not welcome or acceptable.

|Thanks... glad to hear that you enjoyed one of my first teasers...
I wasn't too sure whether that language was offensive enough to have it removed...|

|Why do people use spaces and asterisks to get around the foul language standards. Do they seriously think that their mommies won't know what they mean?|

|I got this one right, but it is unlikely that an Abbot would not know who the previous Pope was. This one is implausible. :roll:|
