You are making a certain type of cake that requires half a cup of water. Unfortunately, you only have one that fills up to 1 cup, and another that fills up to 3 quarters of a cup. How can you measure half a cup?
Hint:
If you fill 1 cup of water and you pour 3 quarters of a cup to fill the other cup, how much water remains in the larger cup?
