2 Strikes- Now What?
The baseball whipped by Ned twice. Each time, a strike was counted, but Ned knew that it was impossible for him to get out with the next pitch. How is this possible?
Answer:
Ned is in the field, not at bat. The batter has hit two foul balls, which count as strikes. Ned was trying to catch the foul balls to get an out, but did not succeed.
